Hart of Dixie Review: Zoe vs. The Keg Stand

by at . Comments

"Why Don't We Get Drunk" was an appropriately named episode, considering it was spring break in Bluebell on Hart of Dixie. It goes without being said but I'll say it anyway: it sure as heck looked like fun! I'd like to get drunk in this zany town.

Aside from a surplus amount of alcohol, the infamous Ruby Jefferies returned, stirring up feelings in Lavon and in Annabeth. Brick also had some serious medical issues going on, while Lemon and Wade were bonding.

Zoe & Jonah

The big, sort of dark, twist of tonight was that Brick may have been having some health issues - and I didn't hate it. This is the kind of direction that I like to see because it brings unlikely characters together and makes them forget their differences. I have this feeling that Brick is lying about the results of his tests... or maybe I am hoping he is.

Thank you, Lemon, for growing back up and giving AB permission to be with Lavon! THANK YOU, JESUS! This was my favorite scene in the episode. Go fight for your man. She has truly grown the most.

Bye bye, beautiful Jonah Breeland, I'll miss that intoxicating smile of yours. But HELLO to AB and Lavon, newest couple in Bluebell. I can't say I hate this new pairing but I know I don't like it right now.

Ruby came back, but sadly, not for long. Somehow, Lavon's deep love for her didn't matter after a short rendezvous with AB. Annabeth sure knows how to make an impression on a guy! You go, girl!

Sigh. Here we go again with George and Zoe. That's all I gotta say about that.

The one thing that is bothering me the most about this episode was the possible hint of a Wade/Lemon relationship. I've seen various Hart of Dixie spoilers that point to this happening and it seems that it may be coming true. This is definitely a pairing I never saw and I really don't want to see either.

Let's all hope Hart of Dixie isn't jumping the shark.

On a completely unrelated Hart of Dixie note, I love Jaime King's nails. While I'm on the topic of fangirl approved things, Zoe's hair in this episode was so glamorous and fabulous. I loved it!

Lemon/Wade.....so fun! Do you really think they would go there? I hope so!

Come on already! George and Zoe again? Please say it 'aint so. Wade and Lemon - never!!!! For goodness sake, stop messing with having all the characters dating each other and let's have some other story lines - more medical issues maybe?

I saw the Lemon/Wade pairing from the beginning. It's your classic Blair/Dan. Two completely opposite but central characters coming together will be fun to watch. The Levon/Lemon dynamic doesnt work. While Levon is a great character they've sidelined him into a supporting role and putting him with Annabel (another supporting character) was the right thing to do. The end game will most likely be Zoe/George Wade/Lemon, they are the core members of the show and this will satisfy the viewer.

Don't kill the messenger but check out this spoiler from eonline: Prepare for your ship to set sail again! "George is in a happy relationship for the first time in a long time and in comes Zoe Hart to try to ruin it all once again," Scott Porter teases. "So, things are going to get bumpy for George. And there's some more singing in the future and there might be a couple of kisses with people who aren't Tansy." Woah! So can we expect a juicy moment between George and Zoe? "I would say we're heading that way, yes!"

I like Lemon and her shenanigans that follows and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that she is learning and growing since S1 - The best guy on the show is the one and only Wade. So these two as a possible couple??? - Hell yeah, it will be a riot to see that develop before my eyes.

sorry, was cut off. Third- I do not see anything coming out of the Lemon and Wade pairing past business partners and longtime friends. They are not each other's type by a longshot. Fourth- I think George was just trying to be a good friend/big brother type when expressing his dislikeness of Jonah and how he could hurt Zoe. Fifth- Lavon and Annabeth finally! I have been rooting for those two since the beginning of the season. and Last but most certainly not least- I am so happy that both Ruby and Jonah are gone and hope they do not return for a very long time if ever.

I loved this episode, I thought it had a good balance of screen time for each character without one overpowering or outshining the others like has happened before in previous episodes. I am an avid follower of HOD's FB page and have been sharing all kinds of thoughts and made numerous interactions with other fans of the page so I thought I would bring them here- First and foremost we cannot expect Zoe and Wade to go right back to where they were before they officially even became a couple, there is still raw emotions on each side that need to heal and they have to realize on their own what's like not to have the other in their everyday life. I have no doubt that they will be back together sooner than we think and those three words will be said to each other also. Second- yes, I have no shred of doubt that Brick is lying about his MRI test results and there is going more to that story going forward down the road.

Okay - I meant "threat" of it - weird slip there... Also Wemon is just weird, as is Lade...

Okay, I'll just throw this out there re: Lemon & Wade... Has anyone ever thought that there's an outside chance Brick is Wade's real father? I always just had the sneaky suspicion that he could be, and that would definitely throw an interesting wrench into any Wade/Lemon potential pairing - but the treat of it (or a need for some kind of transplant/transfusion) might make Brick have to fess up.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but from what everyone is saying..I don't know if Im going to like it..I still hate the writers for doing what they did to Zade..I agree with what @CK said.. Wilson/Wade is only of the reasons I watch HOD. I don't like the idea of Wade/Lemon.. I mean.. REALLY writers!? Why can't they just be friends? I think the idea of them starting a business together is stupid.. I'm really hoping we get a season three..so the writers can FIX Wade and Zoe. I'm tired of the whole George/Zoe angle..I agree with @R a few episodes ago, they were fine being friends.. I still love HOD..I just wish the writers did
