Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have agreed to run it back... twice.
The former Saturday Night Live players and real-life close friends - who received nothing but positive reviews for their hosting stint at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards - will host this ceremony again in 2014... and 2015!
The totally awesome announcement was made today by Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Theo Kingma, Dick Clark Productions and NBC.
“Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season,” said Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC Entertainment. “We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.”
Added Kingma: “We are thrilled Amy and Tina have decided to return as hosts of the Golden Globe Awards for the next two years. Their return ensures that the Golden Globes will once again be the biggest, best and most entertaining awards celebration of the year.”
The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. And we're laughing already just thinking about it.
