With a nod to big hair, loud fashion and gadgets such as the Rubiks Cube, one of the bright spots on ABC's fall schedule has been The Goldbergs.
Based on the life of creator Adam F. Goldberg (Breaking In), the series is told through the eyes (and camera lens) of a young version of the creator (played by Sean Giambrone) as he looks back at his wacky family during the 1980s.
Embodying the epitome of the overbearing mother who often times loves a little too much is Wendi McLendon-Covey, best known for her work in Bridesmaids and Reno:911. The actress - who weekly sports big blonde hair - sat down with us to talk about going back to the 80s for the series, as well as which relative will turn The Goldbergs' Thanksgiving upside down.

The Goldbergs airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
