Ben McKenzie is set to hunt down criminals in Gotham.
The former OC and Southland star will anchor this wildly anticipated Fox drama as James Gordon, the young detective who will eventually end up as Police Commissioner - and, of course, share a close bond with a certain fast-driving superhero.
In anticipation of the upcoming series - which has already received a green light fro Fox - McKenzie just Tweeted the very first look at him in this iconic role:
Earlier this month, Warner Bros. sent out a photo of Donal Logue in character as well.
This ex-Terriers/Sons of Anarchy star will portray Harvey Bullock, Gordon's mentor on the force.
Gotham will be based on characters published by DC Entertainment and will be executive-produced by Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome) and Danny Cannon (CSI series, Nikita, The Tomorrow People).
It will focuse on a young Bruce Wayne, a young Catwoman and a young Penguin, among other characters long before they grow up and become the iconic individuals we know from the comics and the movies.
