We're starting at the very top, TV Fanatics.

With the 2014 Emmy Awards just two weeks ago (Monday, August 25), we'll be spending the subsequent few days analyzing the main races and asking readers to weigh in with their picks.

First up: Best Drama Series.

It features one clear favorite (Breaking Bad), one series capable of knocking it off (True Detective) and one truly baffling selection (Downton Abbey over The Good Wife?!?).

I only watch Downton Abbey and Mad Men out of that group. The others are either too gruesome or on a premium channel or internet and not readily available to me for viewing.
