Cristela has been granted an additional nine episodes, joining fellow ABC freshman series black-ish for the 2014-15 season.

The half-hour comedy focuses on Cristela and her dreams of becoming an attorney, something her Mexican-American family doesn't quite understand.

Cristela was co-created by Cristela Alnoso and Kevin Hench, and comedian Alnoso stars as the titular character.

It's a pretty good position to be in this year, as it's only the second comedy across networks to receive a full order. NBC's Marry Me received a partial order.
