Witches of East End: Canceled by Lifetime After Two Seasons

at .  Updated at .

The Season 2 finale of Witches of East End was filled with jaw-dropping cliffhangers: a pregnancy, a body switch, a death and sisters reunited, in hell!

Unfortunately we'll ever see the end to any of those amazing stories. The network confirmed today that it has decided to cancel the series after two seasons.

Witches of East End starred Julia Ormond, Madchen Amick, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Rachel Boston as the women of the Beauchamp family of witches. Eric Winter and Daniel Di Tomasso starred as their star-crossed loves, brothers Dash and Killian Gardner. It was based on a book series by Melissa de la Cruz.

Over the past two years, Lifetime has lost almost their entire slate of female-oriented original scripted programming, including the long-running Army Wives, the Jennifer Love Hewitt vehicle The Client List, Drop Dead Diva and this year's new entry, The Lottery.

Devious Maids remains on the schedule and will air its third season sometime in 2015.

What do you think of the news? Are you going to miss the exciting lives of the Beauchamp witches and their guy pals the Gardiners? Hit the comments!
