TV Ratings Report: Supernatural Surges, The Flash Soars

The CW ended 2014 on a very positive note when it came to its Tuesday evening programming.

First, The Flash Season 1 Episode 9 brought in 4.5 million viewers, scoring its most watched installment since its opener.

Next, Supernatural Season 10 Episode 9 garnered 2.8 million overall, the show’s largest audience in more than FOUR years.

Elsewhere around the dial…

  • Coming out out of an NCIS rerun (which still earned 10.2 million viewers and an 18-49-year old rating of 1.7), the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (9.1 million/3.3) was viewed by the most young adults of anything else on television.
  • The Voice (10.9 million/2.2) fell to a series low demographic rating, while Marry Me (4.9 million/1.2) dropped a tenth and About a Boy (3.9 million/0.9) was down two tenths.
  • The year-end finales of Agents of SHIELD (5.2 million/1.7) and Forever (5.1 millin/1.1) mostly held steady.
  • MasterChef Junior (4.9 million/1.6) also held steady, while New Girl (3.3 million/1.5) and Mindy Project (2.6 million/1.2) each rose slightly.
