TV Ratings Report: Series Lows Abound!

at .

How low can TV ratings go?

On Thursday night, Sleepy Hollow returned to Fox by bringing in a paltry 3.6 million total viewers, nearly one million fewer than tuned in for the Season 2 premiere; its 1.0 rating among 18-49-year old was also down sharply from the 1.4 of the finale in May.

Bones, meanwhile, returned to 6.1 million and a 1.3 rating, down from its previous premiere (6.3 million/1.6) yet up from its finale.

Elsewhere around the disappointing dial:

  • The entire ABC lineup hit series lows, with Grey’s Anatomy (8.5 million/2.3), Scandal (9.1 million/2.8) fell 12 and 15 percent and How to Get Away with Murder (7.5 million/2.3) all falling sharply from last week's outings.
  • Heroes Reborn (5 million/1.6) decreased by 17 and 20 percent from its debut.
  • The Blacklist returned to 7.6 million/1.8), was also way down, 25 percent from its Season 2 premiere.
  • The Player (4.5 million/0.9) didn't benefit from its new lead-in, either, slipping 25 percent among young adult. Ouch. We doubt it lasts the season.
