NBC: The Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony (27.3 million/7.7 rating) marked the lowest opening since 1992.
ABC: An encore of Shark Tank (2.9 million/0.6 rating) opened the night, but originals of What Would You Do? (2.7 million/0.6) and 20/20 (3.3 million/0.6 rating) ducked against the competition.
Fox: It was an encore of Masterchef (1.3 million/0.5 rating).
CBS: It was encores NCIS: Los Angeles (3.6 million/0.5 rating), Hawaii 5-0 (3.5 million/0.5 rating) and Blue Bloods (4.2 million/0.5 rating).
The CW: Masters of Illusion (0.9 million/0.2 rating) and Penn & Teller (0.9 million/0.2 rating) were encores.
