The two new CBS shows were not the big hits the network was hoping for.

CBS: The Big Bang Theory (14.4 million/3.4 rating) returned to Thursday in solid fashion, but the premieres of Great Indoors (9.2 million/2.0 rating) and Pure Genius (6.6 million/1.2 rating) were less than stellar. Mom (7.6 million/1.6 rating) and Life In Pieces (6.4 million/1.5 rating) returned down a tenth from where they left off.

The CW: Legends of Tomorrow (1.8 million/0.6 rating) and Supernatural (1.8 million/0.6 rating) each matched last week's fast national ratings.

ABC: Grey's Anatomy (8 million/2.2 rating), Notorious (3.8 million/0.8 rating) and How to Get Away with Murder (4.1 million/1.2 rating) were in line with one week earlier.

NBC: Superstore (4.2 million/1.3 rating), The Good Place (3.9 million/1.1 rating), Chicago Med (6.8 million/1.4 rating) and The Blacklist (5.5 million/1.2 rating) were all up from their prior originals.

Fox: Rosewood (3.4 million/0.8 rating) and Pitch (2.9 million/0.8 rating) were each even with their last originals.
