While six ABC comedies see their runs extended today, another on TV Land says goodbye.
A dramedy has just landed a straight to series order on TNT and two more sitcoms have been renewed.
Let's take a look!
I'm sad to relay that TV Land has decided against a third season of Impastor. What a fun, totally irreverent show that was.
Michael Rosembaum played his role as a criminal who took over the identity of a small town preacher to the hilt.
It was a lot of fun, yet still managed to remain heartwarming and didn't make fun of Christianity in the lightest.
“We want to thank the incredibly talented cast, producers and crew of Impastor for their hard work over the past two exciting seasons,” TV Land development and production president Keith Cox said.
Rosenbaum said, "We loved our little show, and I know many of you really enjoyed it. It was a good run, and I'm grateful to have worked with an amazing group of people."
"I feel very blessed. Again, thanks for all the support. I hope to bother you by promoting my next projects as they come along. Much love to everyone and happy holidays."
Meanwhile, over on ABC, they were into the spirit of giving and six comedies were given additional episodes.
American Housewife, Speechless, The Middle and Fresh Off the Boat were all given one additional episode, bringing their season orders from 22 to 23 episodes.
The Goldbergs and black-ish were each given two additional episodes, bringing them up to a 24 episode season each.
Modern Family remains at 22, while The Real O'Neals was previously given a back order to 16 episodes for the season.
TNT has ordered straight to series a new dramedy titled Claws.
Claws follows the rise of five diverse and treacherous manicurists working at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon, where there is a lot more going on than silk wraps and pedicures.
At the center is salon owner Desna (Niecy Nash), who lives with and cares for her mentally ill twin brother, Dean (Harold Perrineau).
Desna's staff includes best friend Jennifer (Jenn Lyon), a tenuously sober ex-party girl raising two children from previous relationships.
Quiet Ann (Judy Reyes) is Desna's enigmatic driver who also provides security for the salon.
Polly (Carrie Preston), a mild-mannered preppy who recently served time in prison for identity theft.
And Virginia (Karrueche Tran) makes no effort to hide her boredom and impatience with her job.
"Claws is wild and hilarious, and we can't wait for viewers to immerse themselves in this fascinating world," said Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT.
"This is a show with great storytelling featuring empowered female characters and brought to life by a diverse group of incredibly talented individuals both in front of and behind the camera."
TNT has ordered 10 episodes of Claws, which is slated to launch in 2017.
Finally, on sister site TBS, both Search Party and People of Earth have been renewed for second seasons.
Search Party stars Alia Shawkat and the things she ponders as she is affected by what's going on around her after one of her college classmates goes missing.
People of Earth is about a reporter investigating alien abductions.
Both series have been doing really well with viewers, with Search Party, especially, garnering great reviews with critics.
