TV Ratings Report: Magnum PI Soars to Highs With Post-AFC Championship Installment

The only way was up for Magnum P.I. on Sunday night.
The freshman crime solver built to a 3.8 rating in the demo and 12.1 million total viewers. FYI: Magnum P.I. launched with 8.1 million total viewers and a 1.2 rating at the start of the season.
These figures are thanks to the AFC Championship game which scored a colossal 47.5 million total viewers, and a 14.5 rating in the demo.
Magnum P.I. continues tonight on CBS, but will it be able to garner a small uptick from its typical levels?
Over on The CW, Supergirl hit a series low in total viewers thanks to the increased competition. It scored 1 million total viewers and a 0.3 rating in the demo.
Charmed also went low in the viewers but was steady as a rock in the demo with another 0.3 rating (0.9 million total viewers).
The only other original on the night was Shark Tank which sank to a 0.8 rating (2.8 million total viewers).
