TV Ratings Report: The Masked Singer Surges

Despite some post-premiere erosion, the freshman reality series picked up steam on Wednesday night.
The latest episode scored a 2.6 rating in the demo and 7.9 million total viewers, building 13 percent in the demo week-to-week.
Fox has already ordered a second season of the show, citing the high ratings.
The show has already solidified itself as Fox's highest-rated and most-watched series by wide a margin.
24 Hours to Hell also benefited from pre-tune for The Masked Singer, scoring a 1.2 rating and 4.6 million viewers.
Elsewhere, Celebrity Big Brother was up a tenth week-to-week, with 4.8 million total viewers and a 1.2 rating.
While the sophomore run of the show is down a little, it is still performing well, and will likely return in some capacity.
Criminal Minds was steady in the 10 PM hour with 4.7 million total viewers and a 0.8 rating in the demo.
Over on The CW, Kelly Ripa's guest stint on Riverdale helped the show build in total viewers to 1.3 million total viewers, but it was stable in the demo with another 0.4 rating.
Similarly, All American was up in total viewers to 0.8 million total viewers but failed to move the needle in the demo, posting another 0.2 rating.
Over on ABC, The Goldbergs (5.7 millio/1.3 rating), Single Parents (3.3 million/0.8 rating), Match Game (2.6 million/0.6 rating) were all up.
Schooled (4.6 million/1.0 rating) was down a tenth, while Modern Family was steady (5 million/1.2 rating).
