Paul Weston is the main character on In Treatment. He's a psychologst that speaks to various patients from his home office.

During the first season, we see that Paul is involved in an unhappy marriage with his wife, Kate. He's attracted to a patient and seeks counsel himself from a former colleague.

The most traumatic event of this first season takes place when a fighter pilot patient named Alex died. Paul feels guilty about his tragic passing. Weston's confidence increasingly diminishes, as he starts to doubt psychotherapy, along with himself.
