omg um way too many spoilers in the canadian promo! "i love you" and louis being the father?! these aren't things that belong in promos....but nonetheless i'm very excited for next week!
also i actually like charlie/ivy's character. i think kaylee is a great actress, and even though chivy is pretty morally questionable, who isn't on gossip girl?
MAJORLY agree with LeilaOnailan, bring Jenny back! And keep Vanessa OUT, unless we're seeing Jenny (and everyone else) give her the smack down she has so long deserved. Also, please get rid of Raina...the character has potential but I really can't stand the actress.
although i will say i agree that her acting like she's kind of special for masturbating is silly. she should've said that it shouldn't be so taboo to girls and stuff not "girls don't do it" because...plenty of girls do and i completely agree with her that it's a good thing and they should.
um yes this is totally valid. thank god that we get to see her point of view on all of the stuff the media is spinning negatively about her. i love taylor and i always have! except of course it was interspersed with this site's ridiculous taylor-bashing. the writers of ggi really should not show so much bias against an actor on the show.
it bothers me so much how this is called "jenny's latest crime." i'm a major chair fan and even i can see that she did nothing wrong. chuck and blair were broken up and from what chuck told her, blair never wanted to see him again. it's chuck who made a huge mistake, but even what he did was not AS bad as blair is making it out to be. i love love love blair, but this is ridiculous. chuck has slept with countless people before when heartbroken over her. i can understand how it hurts more when it's jenny...but still, the only person in this situation i can really feel sorry for is jenny. the poor girl lost her virginity in a totally meaningless way and is now being shunned for not doing anything wrong.
Lily: Serena, you're not into girls now are you? You have lipstick all over your face!
Serena: Well, um, Georgie's back in town...
Lily: I knew I recognized that shade.
Okay, I think it's a bit much to put the caption as she will be playing Chuck Bass' mother. That has been in no way confirmed and I think most people actually don't believe it will be true. (including me...and im praying I'm right)
its been pretty much confirmed (if you trust kristin and ausiello) that its dan/olivia/vanessa.
if you are confused as to why...i explained in the njbc
If the pix of Leighton and Ed in the flower dress and the suit are all in character, then maybe there is a scene where they are both walking down the street and they see each other and smile and then start walking together because there is a picture of them each alone and one together. That would be SO sweet! But it probably doesn't happen that way
i feel so sorry for leighton! there is nothing wrong with making a sex tape with your boyfriend but having it released is such a terrible thing to happen to her. and she did nothing to deserve this! ugh i hate people who's business is finding and selling these personal parts of celebrity's lives
i forgot to mention...another AMAZING quote was when blair said something like: "I hope he's ready to love me the way Cyrus loves you." to Elenor. OMFG. BLAIR WANTS TO MARRY CHUCK! YAY!!! I would be so happy if this happened
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
The entire Chair exchange at the end was such a great light-hearted break from all their angsty, tear-filled scenes. I'm glad they finally can be happy! But I have to give it to Blair for her epic ILY speech: "Gossip Girl can be right about you all she wants, but I won't let her be right about me. I won't be weak anymore...etc." AMAZING. Leighton shined in this episode.
2. What took you by surprise the most last night?
Finding out that Carter and Serena had been searching for her father
3. Will Chuck and Blair last?
If this weren't TV, I think they would last for a really long time because they never stop loving each other even when they screw each other over. But it's GG, so you never know. BUT executives of the show compared them to Seth and Summer who dated for multiple seasons...I really think they could work. They are definitely endgame though, even if they break up and get back together. Neither one is better with any other character.
4. If you were Gossip Girl, how would you describe the graduating seniors we love?
Serena: A girl with a good heart who tries her best to be a good friend but is misguided sometimes.
Blair: AMAZING young woman who finally is with someone she can be vulnerable and herself with.
Nate: decent, when not dating Blair.
Chuck: his flaws add to his perfection
Dan: Focuses too much on his moral compass but a great guy inside
But I do have to say...in terms of the characters' worst flaws, I think GG actually got it right.
5. What is Scott's agenda?
Knowing the show, its probably something creepy, but I don't think it's strange that he has pictures of his birth parents and is looking for them...only that he didn't tell Dan who he was and he is on the phone with his adoptive parents who were so reluctant before.
BONUS QUESTION: What are your predictions for Season 3?
Nate and Vanessa will get back together. Carter and Serena will find her dad, which will cause problems because he obviously doesn't want to be found. I think Carter and Serena might have a thing, and Serenate will probably happen too, at least for an episode or 2. Georgina will do her best to torment Blair and the two of them will have hilarious scenes hating each other before eventually teaming up. Chair will hopefully last all season and forever! Obviously, they will have drama and issues, but they will still love each other and be a couple. Jenny will try to be a nice queen, but eventually get corrupted by power and turn into a new, less awesome, Blair. Rufus and Lily will be together, they would not break up her 5th marriage. The love child will be a temporary problem, but probably a blessing in their eyes as well.
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
This is tough, but I think I have to give it to Chuck when he said "I see you're wearing your beret-who are we spying on tonight?" because it shows he knows B so well or when he says "Is that the only reason?" because he knows she loves him and wants her to admit it.
2. Best fashion moment of the night - Chuck's basketball attire, Serena's "dress" at the co-op party, or the "OMJC" shirts at Georgina's camp?
The OMJC shirts definitely haha. Chuck's outfit was classic Chuck, which they need to dress him in more often! His season 1 style is disappearing and it was part of his character...where is the scarf????
3. Harder to believe: The distance between NYU and Columbia constituting a long-distance relationship, Lily and friends forking over cash in minutes in this economy, or any scene involving Vanessa?
The NYC and Columbia thing. Hilarious.
4. Should Rufus propose to Lily?
This really is complicated for me because I love Rufus and Lily but I also want Dan and Serena to be together eventually! And the two can't happen at once...
5. Should Blair move in with Nate?
No way. She doesn't love him and they are too young. Plus she hates the apartment.
BONUS QUESTION: What do you predict will happen next in the Serena-Poppy-Gabriel saga?
I think Gabriel and Poppy are still working together and Georgina is going to be herself again and trick them into giving the money back (while all the time actually being a double agent in some scheme to get to Blair)
1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote from the episode?
Chuck: I never apologized for what happened last year. I deeply regret my actions of that night. If you ever do move in here, I'll make sure I'm not around.
This is definitely my favorite quote because Ed Westwick's amazing acting broke my heart and it shows how much Chuck has changed. Also, I loved how it brought tears to Jenny's eyes.
2. In honor of Josh Schwartz and two-thirds of our panel, what was the best Jewish humor-related part of the episode?
Definitely the "Schmutz happens" apron. Hilarious.
3. Should Nate go to Yale or Columbia?
Well, in the real world, he wouldn't have gotten into either, even with his grandfather's help. They are both great schools but he should go to Columbia because he has a right to be proud that he got in on his own.
4. Strangest plot hole: Jenny having her Monopoly date at the van der Woodsen's and not in Brooklyn, Nate staying at the rehearsal dinner after his kiss-off toast, or Serena actually thinking she's married?
I have to give it to Nate. All the sting from his speech disappeared because he didn't walk off afterwards. As for Jenny's date at the VDWs, I don't remember exactly, but I thought I heard her give an excuse for it...and based on Serena's wild past, her getting married isn't that unbelievable.
5. Gabriel: Intriguing or boring?
I don't see him as attractive at all...especially with the orange spray tan. Gabriel is boring, but the plot line is intriguing because of the mystery with Poppy, bringing Dan and Serena together as friends, AND causing CHAIR to scheme together! YES!
BONUS QUESTION: Has Blair really changed - and is being with Nate stifling the feisty, confident B we know and love?
Of course! When she is with Nate, she thinks being herself is wrong, because he insults her for it. Chuck loves her for who she is. B with N is whiny and weak.
