Oh Glee, I love you, but please don't let the underage drinking episode be another anvil-dropping PSA,you're better than that.
I think the CW marketing team has a running bet with who can piss off the PTC the most :P Can't wait for Thursday!
@anonymous, who complained about Glee doing modern songs; think about it, it's actually more realistic that way. In an actual Glee club with a bunch of teenagers, while they would pay tribute to classics, it makes sense that they would also want to do the songs they're really familiar with, songs that are current and hot. It's touched on in 'The Substitute' when it shows Mr. Shue pushing Journey while Puck wanted to sing 'Forget You'.
I really hope it's Lexi, it would add a wonderful meaning to how helpful Stefan was to Caroline when she got turned, and her reminding him of Lex.
Opinion on his comedy aside (I personally think he's hilarious!) Ricky Gervais has said openly that he just does not give a damn. The Hollywood Foreign Press knew exactly whom they were hiring (and if they didn't they're idiots) so they have no right to complain if they're suddenly offended. I maybe I need to rewatch Gervais' jokes but it seemed to me that the presenters who were the butt of his jokes took his jibes in stride and even rebutted with a few of their own. Is it so hard for the HFPA to have a bit of a laugh?
You know, I've never held much respect for Serena, but she is easily my favourite character here. Good for her for not wanting to simply brush away the fact that an innocent man has been rotting away in prison while Lily lived the high life. I thought something was screwy with Lily back in season 2 with how she wanted to handle the whole Poppy Lifton debacle but this incident just proves that somebody needs to force some moral decency into the woman.
The PTC have got to be one of the most irritating organizations out there. I've been to their website, read their articles and I swear, they come off sounding like a group of soccer moms who can't bear the thought of their own children growing up (and who seem to think it's their buisness what other people watch on TV). Go read some of their literature, and if it doesn't make you cry from the sheer studpidity of it all, at least you'll get a good laugh.
2 more seasons? Well, that should be enough time to resolve all storylines and go out with a bang. As sad as I'll be, I'd prefer to see it end smoothly rather than dragging on forver and slowly deteriorating.
Listen closely. Can you hear that? It's the Delena fans sobbing. And to a lesser extent, the Steferine fans such as myself, but you get the picuture. I'm beyond used to episode promos promising one thing and then completely delivering another, but this is ridiculous. Stefan and Katherine trapped in the tomb, so much unsaid between the two of them, and yet we see them in there for what, 5 minutes? And the whole sex scene that was supposed to launch Delena and Steferine was a mind trick? Actually I was expecting it to be a mind trick but then have Stefan realize he wasn't over her and at least kiss her of his own volition, or something! Really, it was wasted. And as all the hardcore Delena fans will no doubt be ranting, Damon had Elena all to himself and he instead spent the night making small talk with Jules (whom I personally find grating) and Rose (who seems to exist just so that she can deteriorate from the bite). The Tyler/Caroline scenes were cute, but considering not much was happening other than he was turning, it felt slightly drawn out, though I will say that both their performances were amazing. And any screen time for Bonnie and Luka was boring, and I just wanted them to get back to the action. I missed the huge cliffhanger that VD is famous for, or some epic plot twist to totally change the gameplan. I'm dissapointed (though not as badly as some of the Delena fans, I imagine) but I'm still excited for the new episodes at the end of Jan. Mainly, I want to see Katherine out of the tomb and either causing mayhem or helping Stefan, and I want to finally see Klaus. Oh, and it would be nice if Rose survived. But knowing this show...
He's 32?? Damn he looks good for his age! Happy Birthday Ian!
