Wow, Glee, really? You are barely getting back on your feet and already such a bad episode? Ok, the writers need to finally figure out what is it that Glee should be this season because everything feels so out of place:
1. The new characters are barely interesting and the show does not spend time showing how the new and old members are getting along...the scenes at McKinley High feel like a the show taking a commercial break from what is happening with Rachel. Like, " In other news, Puck met his half-brother Jake, thanx to Mr. Shue and gave him a 30 sec talk on what he should be like?! Why don't we see how Tina feels about being silenced again? Are we just supposed to expect that everyone is all happy and glee in that club?
2. The selection of Britney songs sucked this episode because a) they chose her most awful ones, and b) the ones that weren't awful as they came out before her third album, those were sung by the wrong characters AND the songs did not connect to the story line at all. Marley knows Jake for two episodes and he already "drives her crazy" and her "Everytime" was just weird and out of place. "Hold it against me" and 3 - again, why?!
3. Rachel's "Oops I did it again" was not sexy at all - the whole number was bad, bad choreography, Rachel barely did anything, except pose. Watch the "Power of Madonna" episode where the girls did "Express Yourself" - now there Rachel was sexy....
I would say its Alaric's funeral, but last time I said that I got hits with replies that its Pastor Davis's (or whatever his name is) funeral...so yeah, also check out "Tyler" and Caroline...I think Trevino will do a good job as Klaus!
Season 3 was where GG started losing its way so its incredibly difficult to name any favourite moments - but I'll go with Serena and Carter being together, I still think he is the one for her, Damien was an awesome character and yeah, thats about all that I can honestly remember liking from GG.
1. Kurt and Rachel at the fountain hugging it out! So glad these two will be together in NY.
2. Call Me Maybe - it was funny to see how badly everyone thought they were the New Rachel.
3. Nobody at this point - Puck 2.0 is no way near the real Puck, Marley is ok and fine but she kind of just there, Cassandra is also ok, but really do we need another Sue?
4. Ok, on the one hand I would give the New Rachel title to Tina who is the only one left apart from Artie, who was there when Glee club just started, so she definitvely did deserve it, given we saw so little of her in the PAST TWO SEASONS. On the other hand, I don't think they should have a New Rachel, otherwise it going to be the same problems all over again.
@Fruit Salad, I get what you are talking about, what I meant to say is that the show has made every other character so revoled around Elena, that this is why such things happen, like Stefan's decision. You said yourself, he is an actual character. Of ocarse, he is, just like Damon, Bonnie, Caroline, Tyler and everyone else is supposed to be. But because the writers have made her the center of their world, I mean, you see it in evey episode yourself, don't you, every decision has the Elena element in it.

So the whole debate about whether Stefan did the right thing or not is useless as given Elena's ridiculous character she would not be happy either way and she only has herself to blame really. Plus, given this show's inconsistency with the limit of supernatural abilities and their ridiculousness, its really no surprise that for some weird reason Stefan could not pull out both of them out of the water, or the fact that Elena did not try herself to get out (was her seatbelt really that tight?)...just like most vampires were suffering from hearing problems this past season.

@Brianna, nope, you are not the only one who finds Elena " Am I dead" incredibly stupid.......this is Elena remember? She first acts then thinks and first says than thinks, so yeah, plus for a girl who has been hangs out with vampires 95% of her life (since the premiere) - it should not come as a shick to her...but then again its Elena...and JP writing the show, so again, we can't expect things to make sense really =)
I like the new girl in the glee club, she is like a nice and tolerable Rachel, she definitely is a breath of fresh air to the glee club and I loved how she stepped up for her mom. Jake, I don't know, didn't really catch my attention in any way. I know he is probably going to be Will's new "project", but again, that just feels so been there-done that, they should have created more mystery about him, like let everyone find out he is Puck's brother somewhere latter on, not make him Puck 2.0.
I am not sure if I made a lot of sense in how I viewed this episode. I liked it because I did feel that the show is going in a new direction because the last 2 season's first episodes were kind off the same. I guess I just felt sad because I wanted the old characters to go through that as well, and its just that kind of feeling you have when you of someone and say "I wish they were here right now".
Unique annoys me, because on the one hand he is all about being who he is and being accepted and on the other hand he just expected to the star just like that....I don't know, this character does not really interest me. I like Rachel's storyline and especially the part where she was crying over the phone to Kurt because again, that felt so real, so many times we can't wait to get somewhere and when we get there, reality kicks in and we become homesick. But that shower dude had a point Rachel needs to move forward and make space for new things in her life, but I guess she is still holding on to Finn and really wants him there by her.
I have a 50/50 reaction to the first episode of season 4. I also did not know what to expect after the very very very unstable s3, especially now that so many people have left Glee club

@whateva, I agree about how the promo pics and what we actually see on the screen are two different things. Especially when it comes to Elena, she looks all cool and fierce in the pics, while in tv reality she is so dull.
I think the only thing I am really excited for is to see how Trevino pulls of being Klaus, and how Klaus pulls off being Tyler........Having said that I really do hope after Klaus returns into his own body they stop playing musical chairs with whose body is Klaus poing to be in.

There weren't any reminders, any signs, that would make me. as a viewer say,ok, this is heading towards Elena dying soon on that bridge. First of all, Ghost World? Really? Sorry Julie, but no, worst episode in the history of TVD.

I am not sure if I made a lot of sense in how I viewed this episode. I liked it because I did feel that the show is going in a new direction because the last 2 season's first episodes were kind off the same.
