I really hope Jane plays both Abbott and Fischer right out of their socks. They really did do that to Jane, didn't they? Wow, that was really harsh. Not letting Jane have his hotdog didn't sit well with me either and he paid for it too! He was right there, could almost taste it and she said no he couldn't have it! She slapped the taste right out of his mouth! Now, that's just asking for it Jane style!
@Entwife, something else, is it possible that Jane was testing whether or not she was who she said she was? That was pretty slick of her not to act instinctively. You've really got me to thinking she's more of a snake in the grass then I thought she was.
We are on the same page about Jane's finances. He has money and being a controlling secretive type, he would never let on about any of it. Lisbon's going to be a lucky gal!

I believe Jane has money in the bank. How has he paid his property taxes all these years?
I believe they said the dealership started at $250.000 and up.
Jane never said he was broke, that's the assumption people are making. In one episode, Jane said he had a car collection worth 2 million. Jane walked away from his life to catch Red John. No one ever said nor was it ever indicated that he gave up his wealth.
Jane, while he was chasing Red John didn't need his own money. His had all of the CBI resources and a paycheck. He lived in motels sometimes but mostly in the CBI loft. He didn't need money. He still doesn't need money, he gets a FBI paycheck and is hitting hard for what he wants materially.
He didn't work while he was on the island. He had his shirts tailor made and he bought his meals daily. That says he is a man with money. He was hiding out so to live lavishly would have brought unwanted attention to him. They may or may not clue us in on Jane's finances. I never got the impression that he was poor. His hunt for Red John did not allow him the finer things in life and would have been a distraction more then anything else.
There really is no where else to go, my guess is the following;
2) Blake Association
3) R. Harker
4) K. Frye
5) Stiles / Haffner
7) Red John related
8) Kirkland related
9) Abbott & Fischer
10) Something with the Austin office
These are the only threads left, did I miss any?

I'm right with you Entwife, I never liked her from the beginning, don't like her now and won't like her later, no matter what happens. I have a problem with her being so weak. She was on a mission / stakeout and catches feelings for Jane. How weak is that? I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her. I just get the feeling she's up to something.
Lisbon had a pretty big box of letters, he had to be saying something to her. After Rigspelt left her house; Lisbon went back to that box of letters picked out a specific one, picked up her glass of wine and looked at the letter very fondly. If the letters weren't saying anything much, she would have randomly picked anyone of the letters. Lisbon picked a specific letter. He may have revealed some of his feelings for her in the letters.
I'm now convinced that since he was looking for someone to show up daily, he may have known that the FBI would show up eventually. If he really didn't want to go back he would not have met with Abbott, he would have ran once he found out Abbott was in the island.
Jane needed to find out what the FBI was up concerning him and then try to get the upper hand. Once he found out he could return to the states and Lisbon. I think Jane wants to be free and clear of the whole mess before he makes his move in Lisbon. He knew Lisbon wasn't seeing anybody while he was on the island. So he could hide out as long as he needed too.
Yes, Jane was lonely and went on a date with Fischer but I am really suspicious of why he allowed himself to get beat up right before he went home with her. He turned and went straight into a very dangerous situation. Like it was an excuse for not having to go to the next step with Fischer.
That behavior out of Jane seemed very indicative of his behavior with Kyrstal. Jane will play a slick women the same way she'd play a man. when Fischer asked Jane if he liked murder mysteries, I got the sneaking suspicion he may have known what Fischer was up to then.
I think Lisbon knows Fischer likes Jane and for a woman who is in love with Jane she seems to have a huge quiet confidence. So I'm wondering if those two are up to something. Jane did discuss in front of Lisbon that Fischer was acting different on the island. Lisbon slid really naturally into the conversation with Jane about that.
Fischer asks Lisbon if she and Jane have been together, talks to Lisbon about what type of women Jane likes. Lisbon knows, any women would know. Here is something else I noticed, Fischer is their supervisor, why is she hanging out with them so much and more specifically Lisbon. How did those two end up in the same bar?
When Lisbon starts dating, I hope jane does not use Fischer to get back at her.
I want to know Red John's backstory, Jane's backstory, what happened to K.Frye, what happened with Erica, what happened with Volker, find out if Stiles.and Haffner are really dead, find out if Red John is really dead, find out the deal with R. Harker. Last but not least, find out the real deal with visualize.
At Just Passing, Jane did say he would buy him another one.
That's how I feel too. I want them to talk and have it play out. They can't deal with this the same way as they delt with Red John. That was a more philosophical ending. This will not play out the same way. They really do have to devote some time to this. They have to explain why it will or won't be. There is no way to slip past this one unless they kill one of them. I don't see that happening Soooooooo.......!
