Yeah, they so need to do something about that ring. It will probably go the way of RED JOHN. "Jane's with Lisbon, so what does it matter." Or, Jane's wife was important to him and Lisbon should allow him his memories. A thought just occurred to me, he could take it off right before he marries Lisbon. Very dramatic on a couple of symbolic levels. As for the list.....well......They seem to be out of the mystery business which leads me to believe they're still in it. They dull us to sleep with the very slow Jisbon relationship and then BAM! Something from their past to scare them and is the ultimate challenge to their relationship. The make or break and then off into the sunset they go. The end. I would prefer some good RED JOHN mop up with Stiles but that's just me.

No because this is where I thought they were heading, scripts and all from the very beginning of season 7. They were just going at it a little slower then I like. Well...., the tease really annoys me now. I have an aversion to it, if you know what I mean? You drag out the script, dull up the relationship, tease it and in the end what every they present is F***ing FANTASTIC. I see a time jump somewhere, probably the very end; to show their home, children and what they will being doing with the rest of their lives. I can definitely see them running their own detective agency. They also have the reach, influence and constituency to pull it off. That or a consultant agency, not short on credentials in this department. It could be a fun spin off! They could have special guest stars and have old cast members from time to time. I would watch that kind of show. It would never get old because they wouldn't be tied down the way they are with a procedural. What do you think about this idea?

Did you all notice that Jane mentioned his aunt. Which is something he has never done. So maybe we might find out about his family. Finding out about Jane's family will round him out. We have never gotten an explanation as to why, other then his father, he doesn't keep up with his family. We don't know what happened to his mother. This is the one place we can't make assumptions. Otherwise, part of him will remain hidden from Lisbon. This really needs to be dialogued with Jane and Lisbon in front of the viewers. If this is really about Jane's journey, his family should play into it very prominently. I noticed they used the term, lone wolf for Jane. But then Jane tells Lisbon he's scared about their future. This is not lone wolf criteria. So, I'm guessing he is scared about submerged into his own life and feels like he's drowning. This also shows that he has not learned how to trust Lisbon with his life yet. We are seeing the opposite of that. We see him suggesting things for Lisbon's life because he is still to scared to let go of himself. What he is doing is setting up scenarios that are comfortable for him, almost as if he has trust issues. I.e and most notably, his sofa and Lisbon. Security blankets! I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I like that idea and that would be a good finale

Opening scene, they show the shoulder corner of Cho's suit coat and the Lisbon fawning over a pink diamond ring. Now I know you all thought, yes! Finally, true Jisbon but not we get a FBI sting. Then we have Lisbon wrapping her arms around Cho? Acting as normal as can be. Sure. Cho? Really? Don't you just love the dangling carrot scenario? Then we have Jane in the car acting as if he is irritated by what just happened and then we get the introduction of a cold. Don't you just love the manipulated psychology. Lisbon acts completely normal with Cho in a sting operation with Cho but acts likes she's in an arranged marriage with Jane. Then we have Jane and Lisbon fully dressed in the bed with each other. Yeah, that's believable. The scenario psychology here is obnoxious. They are writing like we are crack addicts waiting for our next hit. Stop that shit and get on with it HELLER! Okay, the hunt for Red John was fun! And then, well.....AND THEN. This is the same frustrating crap we put up with for six years. The tease, wow and we find ourselves here AGAIN? WITH JISBON? I AM NOT AMUSED. I have a really big gripe and Rationalgal you got it right! Jane shut down the CBI because of his hunt for Red John. He ruined Lisbon career there. Then he messes up her job in Washington. NOW JE WANTS TO HAVE HER LEAVER HER JOB AT THE FBI. WOW! HE'S MAKING ME TIRED. They are portraying Jane as a selfish, self centered person who only wants what he wants. Lisbon is the only reason he was successful in his quest. Lisbon's position and now he wants that too. Jane took away Lisbon's life, job and marriage. He had better come up with something spectacular in the end. Like pike questioned, is all she's getting is just Patrick Jane? Good question. The abnormality of the tease is frustrating, I just hope the pay off is worth it. You are right Rationalgal, we are being groomed for the finale.

That's a good ending and a great spin off idea. So, let's see I can recap. Jane catches Abbott up to his neck in some dirty business, Abbott has a het out of jail free chip, they pardon each other and Jane and Lisbon leave the FBI. Then we have a flash back of Jane and Lisbon getting married to each other, officiated by none other than Jane himself in a private ceremony on a beach at sunset, FADE TI BLACK! The next opening scene would show our happy couple 5 years later with children and working in their own business.

Anitraward1

And that's what I mean......after ten years of secretly liking each other, you know they wouldn't act the way they are acting. Instead ofplaying games with the audience, just have them act natural. They don't have to act like they just discovered sex but a couple such as them would be more physical, cuddley. In fugue in red, he grabbed Lisbon's behind. Now all we get is hand holding?

Anitraward1

Oh, I'm glad Flynn got her just due. The character just really deserved it. I'm glad b the writers figured that out. YEAH!

Anitraward1

I loved this episode! My favorite part was when Jane came out of the hotel room after being tased by Flynn. He looked at Flynn like, ok you got me and dam....I can't believe I ever considered you at all! Jane and Lisbon have been tased a total of three times. They are becoming quite the stunning couple aren't they? Fun and interesting episode. I'm ready to see more warm interpersonal activities out of these two. For some reason, they still seem very mechanical. They don't seen like a real couple yet. They seen apprehensive, I don't know. Maybe it's just me. I'm happy that they are a couple but these to showed more affection to Lorelei and Walter then they do to each other. I know they want to tease this thing out......but it's beginning to show the unrealistic qualities of the Red John storyline. I'm not sure for me that it will be any more exciting if they wait to the very end and show some sort of time jump where Jane and Lisbon are married with children. Ending with a wedding will be anticlimactic and boring. Want to know what happens after that. The season six finale was fantastic. They have a lot to do to up the bar they set. The show is now running on the simplicity of a 1970's police procedural. Hummmmm? Maybe I'm just spoiled, maybe not? Either way I love the show and I will always love and cherish this series. Even with all its faults, its the best series out there to this date. Television won't be the same without it.

@Rationalgal, I think that's pretty plausible. I believe something like that will probably occur. My thoughts on Abbott is this; Abbott's initial reaction when first finding out Jane had an encrypted list was fear. Prior to that, he tried to bully Jane and break him down. Why would Abbott show fear about that list? Two things, 1) Abbott's name is on the list or 2) someone he knows is on the list and he is protecting them. Could have been Fischer. Her abrupt disappearance and mother excuse is a little fishy, excuse the pun! Either way the storyline is to long to run. If it is Abbott, Jane played him and Abbott played Jane. I think in the end, they will forgive each other their faults and move on. I would love to see some real closure to what was the driving force behind Red John. If they don't, there will always be a whole in the series.
