I think in "Pyramid" will see the following:
1 - SecNav Phillip Davenport was the one who pressured Vance to put Barrett in charge of the Port-to-Port Killer case.
2 - SecNav Davenport knew about the project Frankestein and worked with the CIA to carry out. When Cobb became a serial murderer wanted to quiet the matter by putting Barrett in the case. He knew that Gibbs would not stay silent on this issue, especially when it affected a naval officer.
3 - Gibbs learns more dirty things about SecNav in Decker's files. Issues that involves Director Vance.
4 - Gibbs forcing Davenport to resign (or will send the files to the Congress). So there will be a new Secretary of the Navy (Clayton Jarvis).
That is why Gary Glasberg says PIRAMYD "it's a reference to where the weight and the power fall".
It's just my prediction for the next episode.
This is one of the best episodes I've seen in the series. I only regret the Mike's death. But it served for the first time we know how are the thoughts of Gibbs. I wonder if in many cases, Gibbs imagine what Mike Franks would say or would make. I think so, because Tony is the same with Gibbs.
I repeat: A great episode and a wonderful TV show!!!
I think Ray joins the Gibbs' team to search for Ziva. In the photo of Gibbs, Tony and McGee enter a barn, he's behind Gibbs. At least I think it's CIRay. Also shown in extended promo.
Ang: The P2P Killer has lost his knife into the chest of Mike. Then he took the Franks' gun and went to attack EJ and her team. Everything happens in one night. He goes to the building with the gun because he has no time to get another knife. The trap to ambush EJ was ready and did not want to waste it.
In "Pyramid" there are two SecNav: Philip Davenport and Clayton Jarvis. Maybe Davenport will resign, or will die... Maybe Jarvis is a former SecNav, from the period of Mike Franks and he will go to his funeral. Who knows?
I liked the episode and I liked the story of Tony's past. But what I really loved was this, the concern of Gibbs for Tony. The way he sees him in the autopsy room, prepared to support him if he notices that Tony needs it. You can to see the affection he has, apart from the trust, respect and admiration for DiNozzo. It even seems that already he "pardoned" Tony for the EJ's affair, as he offers Tony his phone (remember the phone theme among them is a symbol that appears in "Bounce" -6x16-, but in this case does not change the leadership, it is still something significant), because he knows that Tony can not be without one and would be distracted all the time.
It's this request and delicacy of Gibbs for Tony, which leaves me smiling and satisfied. :D
Editor: Sorry, but I'm pretty sure Mike Franks die! I gave my reasons in Spanish, but now I leave them in English: 1-The actress who plays her daughter in law, Leyla (Tehmina Sunny), appear in the last episode (Pyramid) and it seems clear that she will be at his funeral. 2-It has been said that someone important in the series will die (and not related to the principal). 3-Pauley Perrette said that Abby "had to mourn" in the footage of the last chapter, probably by the death of someone she considers "family" or because this death affects pretty much anyone in the family. No doubt that Gibbs would be most affected by the death of Franks. 4-Must be understood that if the production wants to "kill" a major character in the series, without touching the protagonists, only Mike Franks has the characteristic of being relevant in history. He is who taught Gibbs how to be an NCIS agent, is the one who started the "pyramid" Franks-Gibbs-DiNozzo. That is why if he dies, no doubt the end will be -as described by Weatherly- EPIC!!!
(Sorry for grammatical errors.)
Ahora veremos cómo Gibbs y Pacci trabajaban juntos.
