  1. What Did You Think of "Holidaze"?

Gen: this is a message board for people to express feelings about GA, but THIS is a thread about the episode "Holidaze", and Burke is definitely not in it. Writing "Bring Back Burke" over and over again is just so annoying for other people, because it is 10000% sure nobody will ever bring back Burke on the show. So why don't you deal with that.
RA: why are you so sure IW wants to get back on the show? As far as I heard he threatened lawsuit for unauthorized use of his picture on the show (when Burke won the award). He's moved on, and GA moved on.

Everybody has the right to express their feeling, but this forum is organised in threads, so that people can talk about what their want and share their thoughts with people who think similar. Why can't you just get a thread about Burke and talk about him there? There is nothing more annoying on this forum than constant slogans like "Bring Back Burke" or "Bring Back George" (yeah, and how that's gonna happen?)
  2. What Did You Think of "Holidaze"?

As far as i'm concerned Izzie can never come back. I watched entire episode and didn't think for a second something was missing. And I start to really like Alex, even though I didn't during last season. He's back to his old self - dark, sharp and cynical, while last year he was all whiny and pathetic. Izzie's making him look like a fool all the time. I want another storyline for him, I want him to finally be with someone who's not self-centered and who can appreciate him.
  3. Grey's Anatomy Episode Guide: "Give Peace a Chance"

I loved this episode. And I have to say that I didn't miss Izzie for even a second. I am just so tired of her lately.
  4. Grey's Anatomy Promo: "I Saw What I Saw"

If one of the MW is going to be fired, please let it be the awful Charlie guy! He's simply horrible - his attitude, his appearance... and he didn't show any extraordinary medical skills like the others did. I want him gone!
And if I would have to pick two of them for series regulars, I would choose Jackson Ivery (he would be a nice addition as a male resident, because only Alex is left) and April (she's more of a Grey's vibe - she's goofy and weird with all the affirmation stuff, and competitive at the same time. She reminds me a bit of Lexie). And I would get rid of Reed - she's the kind of character that only messes with OUR residents, and doesn't bring anything to the table - it's easier for me to like April than her.
  5. Grey's Anatomy Promo: "I Saw What I Saw"

I think it's either Alex or someone from the Mercy Westers (it's not Cristina or Lexie for sure). And even if it's Alex, I don't think he would be gone for good - there would already be news around the internet that Justin Chambers is leaving the show. Izzie's going to be back, but I don't see how they are going to bring her back to work though...
  6. Yet Another Grey's Anatomy Premiere Sneak Preview

I never expected you not to talk about George. This was an episode about George's death and I would be crazy to tell people not to talk about him. It's just that THIS is actually a thread under the Cristina and Owen clip. For organisational purposes we should talk about stuff the thread is about. If I want to talk about Cristina I would know where to go, and if I would want to talk about George I would go to other threads. It's just feels like no one is allowed to put George's death aside and talk about other stuff these days, because every topic ends with "why is she smiling? George is dead!!!".
To make peace with George's fans I will adress his death right now. The whole episode would be SO much better if T.R. would agree to be in it. The guy didn't look like George at all, so the beginning of the episode seemed fake. The funeral scene - ok, they were giggly, but they were not happy. It was more like "George is dead - WTF?!". I think Shonda decided to do the 40 days thing in order to avoid having to put the mourning storyline in next 5 episodes or so. I guess she wanted to deal with it, adress it and move on. But this episode was all about George and I hope George's fans are at least a little bit satisfied. It may be controversial, but I think Cristina's reaction at the end was the most "real" to me. We know she tends to be weird about her reactions to hard matters in her life, but her realising at the end that "George O'Malley has died" was really huge. She's put that aside for 40 days, and suddenly it hit her and literally took her breath away. I think her and Bailey took it the worst. Cristina became cranky and insensitive, and so she did with every tragedy in her life so far. And Bailey - OMG this is pure depression. I really admire these two and I am not surprised that they're the ones who got Emmy's nominations so far.

Cristina is not going to be sad rightaway because she's not that kind of person. She deals with stuff her way. If everything would be handled the way it is in other shows (everyone would be whiny, crying, depressed) this would be so boring.
You can complain all you want, you can drown in tears but it would be nice if you do it in George O'Malley appreciation thread. You could simply let people talk about something else than George O'Malley. Because a lot of people are tired of you complaining. You haven't even seen the episode and you already know that Shonda did it wrong.
If the show is so superficial, Shonda sucks, the most wonderful character has just been killed off, and all other characters are inappropriate bastards with no human feelings than just don't watch it - why annoy yourselves on purpose?

And just one more thing: I really liked dr. Burke (seriously, I did...;)) and when he left I felt like something ended and the show won't be the same without one of its core characters. Now, two seasons after that, I am like "Burke who?";) The same with Addison.
So for those of you who are not "completely devastated", but just sad for George, I hope you'll get over it soon and enjoy the new season.
  9. Yet Another Grey's Anatomy Premiere Sneak Preview

Well, that's just one personal opinion.
We should really wait and see the epi before we start to judge it. And if George's fans really won't see any point in watching the series when he's gone, they can just stop watching. I guess Shonda is aware of that.
I would like to point out, that the only proper goodbye for a character who was a good friend, ex-husband, ex-lover, ex-boyfriend, who has been on a show since the very beginning, would be a season full of mourning. I really don't think anybody wants that. Most of us still have our favourities on the show and look forward to the new season. So George's fans really don't have to complain in every thread that pops out on this site...
  10. Yet Another Grey's Anatomy Premiere Sneak Preview

    Wow, delphincik, easy!
First of all you are waaayyy out of line accusing people you don't know of getting over death too fast.
Second of all please don't say it's your personal tragedy, it's just too insensitive to say that. George is a fictional character and as sad as the storyline is, it is not true. It just sounds weird when you say Americans don't treat funerals serious enough while you call death of a TV character a "tragedy". Really strange perspective...
And finally, you don't know what the episode is going to be about because it hasn't been aired yet. Why are you already angry and judgeing Shonda for being ignorant about George? The spoilers said "the season premiere is going to be all about George O'Malley" so at least wait until the episode airs to be THIS mad...
  11. Yet Another Grey's Anatomy Premiere Sneak Preview

Jeez people, it's Grey's Anatomy! Do they EVER deal with stuff by the book? Was Meredith insensitive with "dead mommy's proud" or "bag full of mommy" and did that talk mean she didn't care about Ellis's death? Do you think Cristina didn't care about Mer when she went shopping after she almost drowned? And finally, your wonderful George was a sex addict when his father died - does that mean he didn't give a s***t?
That's why we love this show - the characters' reaction may be peculiar but I assure you, they ARE devastated. And I am sure that at the end of tonight's episode none of you will doubt that.

And just because George is dead doesn't mean that our show has to become something it's not. Life goes on with GA - if all you ever liked about the show was George than you're right - don't watch it.
  12. Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Owenstina, Slexie and Der (Not Mer)

Gloria: I bet Cristina is in denial and tries to ignore the fact that George is gone. That's how she copes with things (when Mer almost drowned she also acted really strange and went shopping). Now she's probably trying to have sex to keep the thought of George away from her. But I am 100% sure Owen won't let that happen:)
  13. Grey's Anatomy Questions and Answers From Kevin McKidd

Anuflas, I didn't say he's older, it's just that Derek and Owen behave and look like grown-up men. But Sloane, in my opinion, sometimes behaves like a teenager, and his hair, clothes and attitude seemes just highschoolish to me. As he's probably in his mid-thirties, he's too old for THAT.
But It's just my personal feelings towards him:)
  14. Grey's Anatomy Questions and Answers From Kevin McKidd

I think Burke is never coming back. I don't thing they're even going to mention him. The article says something from Owen's past emerges.

However, I would really like an episode where Burke comes back for consult or heart surgery (since there is no head of cardio after Virginia left). But we know that is not happening. I would still like to have a Burke related episode though. Owen finding out they were engaged and all (we don't know if Cristina told him).
  15. Grey's Anatomy Questions and Answers From Kevin McKidd

T.R. is a sweet and cute type.

KMK is manly and rough, but I find him hot;)

PD is just ordinary to me... If it wasn't for the way he gives Meredith "the look" I wouldn't find him attractive at all.

ED is supposed to be the "preety guy" but I find him horrible. He's just too old to be sporting the "the most popular guy in highschool" look. He may be handsome but I find his looks boring and stereothypical.
  16. Grey's Anatomy Questions and Answers From Kevin McKidd

    Please, not PTSD again.

I wouldn't mind something connected with his Army past though, like old war buddies or a wife of a deceased colleague. He is a soldier and that's a great thing about him. I just don't want him to get too whiny about his PTSD again... He's addressed this problem and he's dealing. I really don't want another "relapse". And I certainly want him to be able to sleep in the same bad with Cristina!
  17. Sandra Oh, Chandra Wilson Nominated For Emmy Awards

I personally think that Sandra and Chandra are the best actresses on the show and they fully deserve to be nominated. I keep my fingers crossed for SO to get the award, because she uncovered a new dimension of her character this season.

I really didn't think that Justin Chambers deserved a nomination though. I know some of you are shocked that he wasn't given one, but to me his performance wasn't outstanding in any way. And his acting in the last scene of the finale, when Alex is crying watching his coding wife, was just bad.

As for Kevin McKidd, i think he is a great actor, but perhaps he didn't have a chance to fully develop his character in his first season. YET - I hope next year he will get a nomination!

And finally, Katherine Heigl. I never really saw anything extraordinary in her acting this season. And I don't think they should give her a nomination because her character got cancer and had a hard time. It's just not enough for me.

And off topic - Hugh Laurie has to win!!! His performance is extraordinary in every way and sadly there is no male actor on Grey's that could compete with him!
