sorry, was cut off. Third- I do not see anything coming out of the Lemon and Wade pairing past business partners and longtime friends. They are not each other's type by a longshot. Fourth- I think George was just trying to be a good friend/big brother type when expressing his dislikeness of Jonah and how he could hurt Zoe. Fifth- Lavon and Annabeth finally! I have been rooting for those two since the beginning of the season. and Last but most certainly not least- I am so happy that both Ruby and Jonah are gone and hope they do not return for a very long time if ever.
I loved this episode, I thought it had a good balance of screen time for each character without one overpowering or outshining the others like has happened before in previous episodes. I am an avid follower of HOD's FB page and have been sharing all kinds of thoughts and made numerous interactions with other fans of the page so I thought I would bring them here- First and foremost we cannot expect Zoe and Wade to go right back to where they were before they officially even became a couple, there is still raw emotions on each side that need to heal and they have to realize on their own what's like not to have the other in their everyday life. I have no doubt that they will be back together sooner than we think and those three words will be said to each other also. Second- yes, I have no shred of doubt that Brick is lying about his MRI test results and there is going more to that story going forward down the road. Fifth- Lavon and Annabeth finally! so please fix this writers as quickly as possible! I will never stop watching the show as I love it so much but is definitely going to be very painful to watch going forward for the time being. I will be Team Zade always
Correction- where I said as an audience, it should say from an audience perspective
Definitely agree that the wedding and seeing DebraJo Rupp again, Lemon and AB taking steps to mend their friendship, and Lavon trying to cheer Zoe up by insisting they dance were the bright spots in this episode. The breakup scene on the bench was absolutely heartwrenching and had me in tears also. Wilson Bethel and Rachel Bilson did an excellent job with the scene. Their emotion, pain, and tears were genuine. I am hoping for a reconciliation as quick as possible as I have been a die hard Zoe and Wade shipper since day one. I also agree with two points other reviewers have made- 1) if he has done this to Tansy before like she made it sound then why did she think about trying to reconcile with him near the end of last season and 2) being as how we have never seen him in a committed relationship before Zoe I definitely see this cheating story as extremely OOC for Wade. As an audience he has only ever been seeing as having a girl stay the night and then leave the next day. So please fix this mess writers and do it fast! I will not give up on the show as I love it so much, but it will definitely be painful not seeing Zade together
got cut off...
know Wade left with the other woman and did not say anything to her about it. Also, very anxious to see the confrontation between George and Wade about the events of the previous night
Overall I enjoyed with the exception being at the end when Wade left with the other woman and Zoe's facial expression when she got there and realized that she had missed the whole show, that Wade lost, and he had left already. It made me so sad and broke my Zade loving heart. I agree with everyone that says part of being supportive and helping someone acheive their dream is telling them honestly what is or is not working, which is exactly what Zoe was doing when she told Wade how bad Meatball sounded. I loved the scene where she gave him the neon bar sign, it was so sweet yet sad at the same time because the facial expression he had when looking at it. Loved the Zombie Flah Mob wedding proposal scene between Tom and Wanda. It was cute and quirky just like they are. Definitely on pins and needles for this week's episode to find out what happens to Zoe and Wade. Very excited for the wedding though! Also, very curious to find out if Zoe will learn that George and Tansy know Wade left with the other woman but did not say anything to her about it. I am also looking forward to the confrontation between George and Wade about the events of the night before
This episode was a fantastic way to come back from winter break. I too loved George being as he put it everyones "Dr. Phil" for relationship advice. As an avid Zade shipper I was extremely pleased with all the scenes they had together and cannot wait to see the continuing development of their romantic relationship. As for Brick and Shelby I am still on the fence how I want that to play out. My favorite dialog exchange of the night was between Wanda and Tom at First Feast when she said "they had strip clubs in the pioneer days?" and Tom quickly responded by saying "Yes Wanda, they have been around since the bible." I have to say I am not looking forward to George's mother's return next week especially since she has an ulterior motive and does not want to leave well enough alone in George's current love life
hate when this cuts off. the last part says: That scene in the church between him and Earl gave a lot of background and explanation as to how both characters dealt with the grieving process.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Wade and Zoe are finally together after a year and a half of will they or won't they, which these days I personally feel is way overdone. I will refer specifically to Booth and Brennan from Bones (6 years), and Castle and Beckett from Castle (4 years) and it drove me nuts how both shows would have them be thisclose and then at the last possible minute throw an obstacle in the mix to keep them as "just friends" a little bit longer. So I am very happy HOD moved the romance story along rather quickly. I strongly disagree with the comments that Zoe needs to leave Bluebell and putting Wade down and treating his past as a nothing more than a sympathy story. (1) If Zoe left then there wouldn't be a show as it is called "Hart" of Dixie and she is the primary character. She even said herself that being a GP is a good fit and suits her. (2) Wade actually had a legitimate tragedy happen in his family with the death of his mother from a terminal illness. That scene in the church between him and Earl gave a lot of background and explanation as to how both characters dealt with the grieving process.
