  1. Bunheads Review: From Vegas to Paradise

I really enjoyed Bunheads and will continue to watch it. I'm over 55 and found that it had something for everyone (love Fanny). What a breath of fresh air! Delightful!
  2. Mad Men Review: Shocked Therapy

Did anyone else think last night's episode could have easily been a series finale rather than a season finale?
  3. Person of Interest Season Finale Review: Catch Me If You Can

LOL riveted to the recliner and barely breathing the entire hour! Loved it when Fusco and Carter realized they're both working with Finch & Reese! This show is so fabulous at weaving stories that have me glued to the screen for the duration of the show. I have other favorite shows mostly because of an attachment to the characters and not necessarily the storylines. POI has been awesome because of both storyline and characters. And I'm always muttering "wow" when the credits roll.
  4. Cancelled Shows: Which Will You Miss Most?

    The Finder.
  5. Person of Interest Review: Breaking Bad

This show just leaves me awestruck after each episode. It's like having a fabulous meal and easing back from the table with "wow, that was incredible" afterward. I have other favorite shows that I love: NCIS and most of the USA and TNT dramas, but POI consistently has a "wow" effect on me after it's over.
  6. Mad Men Review: I Find Your Product Boring

I had DVR'd the episode and watched it last night. The thing that jumped out at me the most about Megan and Don is that he seems to not be able to turn off thinking of her as his secretary or employee when they leave the office. Hence the continued issuance of orders to her. I half expected him to tell her to take a letter at the Howard Jonnson's dinner table.

I LOVED it when she called him a pig.

I just watched Oprah's interview with Gloria Steinheim, who reminded us that up until the very early 1970s - 1971 I think - husbands could demand their wives paychecks if they worked.

So I think that not only does Don have his usual thang going on with yet another woman (remember Faye told him he only like the beginnings of relationships - and she was right), he also doesn't respect her because of her working and her previous role as his secretary, and yet feels not good enough for her at the same time (she's waaay classier than he is).

Roger's singing booze made me literally laugh out loud. Heck - my trip wasn't that good :-) way back then.
  7. Person of Interest Review: Two Men and a Baby

Interesting. I don't see it as a clear cut case of choosing the bad guys over the good guys. I think that Reese went to Elias because there wasn't time for the police to find the baby, and Reese knew that Elias would be able to find her before she disappeared for good. It was the time element that made Reese decide to enlist Elias' help. He knew it was a lousy move but his only move to get to her in time.

Ahhhh, as usual, a terrific episode and the absolute BEST new show on TV!
  8. Breakout Kings Renewed for Season 2

I'm figuring there has to be a reason that the actor who played Charlie had to be written out of the script - other commitments perhaps? I do love the cast and characters. LOL you're right about the new Jules. And what about the good looking new neighbor?

Thanks for your comments. I was beginning to think I was the only person who caught the show on Sunday nigh!
  9. Breakout Kings Renewed for Season 2

    Hi!
I didn't see a TV Fanatic review for last night's new season premiere - it was terrific but I'm sad over losing Charlie.

Anyone else catch the show? What did you think?
  10. NCIS Review: The Secret Life of Tony DiNozzo

I don't like Wendy's character. I don't like the character more than I didn't like EJ's character. My gut picked up on something not being right with her but I can't put my finger on it. And I actually yelled "nooooooooo" at the TV screen during that kiss.

And I agree that the morgue scene was terrific!
  11. TV Fanatic Staff Round Table: Guiltiest Television Pleasure

    Style Channel's "How Do I Look?" :-)
  12. Person of Interest Review: Trading Places

Ah - so glad it's back and it won a People's Choice for favorite new drama! This has quickly become one of my favorite hours of TV! LOL the yoga girl tilting was indeed great! And so was the donut :-)!
  13. NCIS Review: Never Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight

Happy New Year everyone! Great episode! Is it just my imagination or was the concept that Ray Cruz is not who he appears to be and is really a smarm alluded to in previous episodes?
  14. Person of Interest Review: The Life of Detective Carter

I LOVED this episode! I'd been feeling annoyed about the Carter character but this episode changed that. When it was over, all I could do was stare at the screen repeating "wow" over and over.

This is the best new show on TV, and having Burn Notice on at 10:00 makes Thursday night fabulous!

And as a very mature woman *grin*, I'm enjoying the heck outta JC: he's one hot dude *grin* especially in motorcycle leathers!
  15. Person of Interest Review: Who Is Elias?

Yes, I agree with Sandy, it DOES get better and better every week, as does the "I didn't see that coming" moment! I was getting a little suspicious about Charlie because there were a few too many focuses on his exchanges with John for Charlie to be only a witness in need of protection.

And Fusco is FAR more interesting than Carter - he brings much more to the table of the storylines. I don't understand why Carter keeps calling John Reese a pain when he leads her right to the perps.

POI - favorite new show!!!! Can't wait until next week, especially now with Burn Notice on right after!
  16. Person of Interest Review: Love and Other Drugs

Oh Maka - I love your assessment of the Carter role. Spot on and perfect!
This episode was WOW! Farsia2010 - so right about the chemistry between Zoe and Reese - and Finch! Soooo very good!! Loved it!!!
  17. The Big Bang Theory Review: Halloween Hijinks

Agreed - this was the first time I laughed out loud at Big Bang in a while. Sheldon electrocuting himself was hysterical.
  18. TV Ratings Report: Very Happy Endings

I just don't understand why they're showing re-runs ALREADY. Last night's episode of Harry's Law was just on, and I don't mean the Saturday night re-run either - the first run episode was just what - two weeks ago?! Modern Family - for all the hulabaloo about the show - ran a repeat of an old Halloween episode - and this is an Emmy winner?

I still haven't figured out why Saturday night seems to be repeat night. I can't be the only one who remembers when Saturday night was a great TV night - movies, variety shows, etc.

Maybe someone at TV Fanatic can shed some light on the rapid repeats and sorry Saturday nights.

Sorry but this has been bothering me for a while.
  19. Dancing With the Stars Results Show: Who's In? Who's Out?

    Good morning!
As far as "America" is concerned, I'm not sure what they're thinking because they voted Chynna and Kristin out when both women have/had much more ability than Ms. Solo, Chaz, Nancy, David, and Rob. So is it a push/pull between judging the dancing on its merits, or lack thereof, and the popularity contest? I think so. But it's now the second half, and as the judges and pros have stated time and time again, the celebrities MUST improve their performances to stay in the game.
  20. Who is TV's Sexiest Male Sidekick?

*Really Wide Grin* Sorry - I'm 58 and find older gents much more appealing. These young men all look like kids to me :-) I know they're not sidekicks, but I'll take Mark Harmon and Tom Selleck: Boomer Power all the way *hearty laugh*!
  21. Person of Interest Review: Dirty Sexy Money

This was a great episode! I'm really liking this show ... a lot. I'm liking Reese and Finch (and the actors portraying the characters)... a lot. It's exciting without an extreme amount of gore, which I can do without. That's why I love the shows on TNT and USA like Leverage, White Collar, and Burn Notice. They give me action heroes and excitement without horribly graphic gore.

I think this is the best new drama on a prime network this season. I'm starting to really look forward to Thursday night TV, the same way I look forward to NCIS Tuesday.

By the way, I'm happy to have found TV Fanatic. You do a nice job, and I feel comfortable writing comments.
  22. Dancing With the Stars Results Show: A Predictable Exit

    Good morning,
J.R. Martinez and Rikki Lake have emerged as the top two contenders. Who takes the third final spot is anyone's call.

As a middle-aged, beginner ballroom dancer myself, it's a joy to watch almost everyone embrace the experience.

I say almost everyone because I've grown completely weary of Hope Solo's disdainful attitude. Even if she were a superb dancer running rings around the other competitors, her prima donna demeanor and obvious disdain for everything and everyone from Maks to the judges would be intolerable. I felt appalled at her rolled-eye look on Monday night when Len was talking to her. For someone who is supposed to be such a good athlete and team player, she's certainly not exhibiting a "sports-womanlike" presence.

That being said, I give every contestant who goes on DWTS and gives it their all - even if their all isn't perfect - a Mirror Ball for effort and good sportsman-like conduct, except for Ms. Solo. She could take some lessons from Carson, Nancy, Chaz, David, and now Rob in how to cheerfully give it your all and respect those who know more than you do.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to state my opinion - this has been bothering me all season.

    Go J.R.!!!
