So disappointed. Cant believe i waited so long for this trash. I think this is easily the Worst Community episode to date. I dont get what anybody saw in this episode
LMAO at
"I don't wanna get too explicit here, but I don't think a porn star's hamstring is the most necessary body part. Her knees and her back still work, right?"
After this episode im calling that Juice will be dead by the end of the season (if not alot sooner) its a shame too b/c in the beginning he was one of my favorite characters....until he sang like a canary
it was a good episode. Really liked all the Nick/Schmidt stuff
"you gave me a cookie I got you a cookie"
But i thought the "Jess failing at modeling" went on way too long and just wasnt that funny
overall a good ep
I dont get why you have such a man-crush on Kevin. I dont find him that funny and I never found the whole "i'm an idiot perona" that funny (in this or just in general either)
two of the most under-rated yet hilarious characters on the show are Stanley and Creed. Like seriously go youtube "Best of Stanley" and "Best of Creed" and tell me they dont deserve more screen time.
easily my LEAST favorite episode of Community to date...and i get that it was mostly filler/setup, but still I barely found it even slightly entertaining
Yea if you didnt/havent paused and read the dating profile go back and do so..by far the funniest part of the episode
all-in-all i thought it was a fairly lack-luster epi that tried to save itself with the surprise labor. And im with @kevin, I'm tired of them dragging out the Ted/robin thing.
And kind of surprised no one mentioned that even though Ted says "He will never try online dating" he already has (at least two times that I can remember) In season 1 with that dating service and when he met that girl playing World of Warcraft
I pretty much agree with the reviewer it was a REALLY good law and order parody, But not much more than that. I also didn't "laugh-out-loud" that much but i did overall still find it pretty entertaining.
On the scale of their previous full-on parody's/high-concept episodes i'd rank it at about a little higher than Space-bus; Not as good as Season 1's Chicken Fingers or Modern Warfare but better than the more recent Musical episode and Documentary redux
not my favorite episode. Had a couple good bits here and there but overall didnt like it that much. Thought the "3 years from now" sequences got old fast
This is the community i fell in love with. This is easily the best episode ive seen them put out in ages. though still dont like the punching bag Britta has become
One of the things that went wrong with them. After Modern Warfare they just seemed to be trying to top it again and again and began doing parodies for the sake of parodies or pop culture-references for the sake pop culture references but lost sight of what originally made the show so awesome, the characters. Season 1 they hardly did anything "big" but still imho those were still some of the best episodes the show has put out. It used to be a show with grounded characters who sometimes act eccentric but has decayed into eccentric characters who sometimes act grounded. However after their hiatus they have been getting better.
2 words... C squared as in Cheesy Caricatures.
if i took the time to list all the things that ranged from "made little sense" to "made no sense" i'd be writing till the sun came up.
What happened to this show? Definitely just downgraded this show "watch regularly" to "maybe catch it if i can"
Another solid episode.
I still dont think it is as funny as it used to be but they have definitly toned down the "over-the-topness" and it is definitely an improvement from some of the episodes we have been seeing.
Team Troy #FTW
@lemon its not that uncommon for episodes to be aired out of order. Its happened already this season and a few times in Seasons 1+2
and according to Wikipedia this episode was in fact produced before last weeks
AND it looks like they lost almost 1 million viewers...so it looks like they didnt win over that many new fans =/
i gotta say im liking the direction these latest episodes are going in. Still a little too over the top in some areas but definitely another step in the right direction.
Still not a fan of security guard Chang. thought his scenes were pretty stupid. And i was getting kinda annoyed with the man-child Troy has been lately so this was a nice change of pace, hope they stick with it.
dont like Catherine Tate either, dont find her that funny and I dont see the appeal of her at all.
didnt care in the least bit about andy going to retrieve erin. Never really liked the whole andy/erin storyline, thought it got old really quick b/c the way i see it, the only reason they arent together is b/c they both are too goofy/stupid to get together and that doesnt make for good will they/wont they tension.
overall a pretty weak episode
wish it had some the Jim/Pam's replacement storyline, or in the very least a little fallout of what happened in FL.
Thought it was pretty good I was pleasantly surprised with the return and am hopeful for the rest of the season. [And this is coming someone who was a huge fan season 1 but thought the last season and a half was a pretty big let down]
Still think Britta is too over the top and could be toned down/ get back to her season 1 roots
And i gotta agree with Rajbauer i dont really see them getting that many more viewers. I mean they might get a couple more just off of the "leta see what this whole 'Save Community' hype is about" but if you werent watching it before you they didnt really do anything to attract/keep new viewers.
@Vicki how is the finder always finding what he's looking for different from the dozens of other cop procedural's/medical drama's out there where 99.99% (if not 100%) of the time they always catch/prosecute the bad guy or diagnose the disease.
wasnt my favorite episode.
For the most part I liked most of the other episodes BUT I just dont see this series having much longevity
I definitely did not see the Jeanie/marcos relationship coming. I think it will play out that Marcos is going to feed Marty half-truths about the Merger and Marty will get the other half from Jeannie to eventually come out on top.
And I cringed when he set-up James, but that is the "dick" line that Marty's character has to/should walk. Where on one hand yea he was a HUGE dick but on the other you kind of understood why. They need to capitalize on that more and not just make him a dick for the sake of being a dick
But I do feel like they are writing themselves into a corner they are fueling the "Merger/Marty being fired" arc to epic proportions and i gotta say so far i dont think the writing has/would be good enough to "properly" tackle this monstrous story-line that they are setting up
but of course ill tune in to find out.
and p.s I believe the word you are looking for is Dramedy
like I said Creed is the funniest of the secondary characters they need to showcase him more
and when Stanley pulled a slice of pizza put pyramid holder I was in tears.
BUT all in all wasnt my favorite episode.
i wasnt really feeling the "pyramid launch party" story line until Jim started giving the presentation
and other than the creed bit didnt think the "back in Scranton" parts were that good either, though it was good to see Toby...when was the last time we saw him.
Last nights episode was just okay to me. I fear CougarTown is showing signs that it is suffering from the deadly disease of Over-The-Top-itis. (a disease which lately has plagued my beloved Community to the point where it might be Terminally ill)
a few of the scenes this week just seemed a little too OTT and forced, sorry but i like my comedy a little more subtle and natural.
And Yeah i am almost positive that that was Slagathor.
As far as the Ted part i just think we are way to far into the series for them to be giving us these faux omnipotent "I was finally free to meet your mother." If this happened in one of the first few seasons i would have been fine with it. But seeing how there is only like 1.5 seasons left i think they need to start giving more tangible clues for the mother/first meeting. Dont get me wrong most of the time I couldn't care less about the mother and just enjoyed the HIMYM ride. Either dont mention the mother or give a "REAL" clue no more of this all-knowing "I was ready" crap
