Sorry got cut off! Damon is usually quick to pick up on things, so I can't believe he wouldn't figure it out then that whole hot sex scene was really a disgusting rape scene. I don't like it! Damon wanted to keep things real with Elena since season one (remember Georgia, anyone?) I don't believe that Damon would do such a thing. Also, this is really something that cannot be fixed or undone. The writers have to tread carefully now. I have always like how true to character they keep everyone in this series, but this episode ruined that for me. I just hope it doesn't ruin the whole season.
I loved this episode, every second... right up to the end, of course that tainted the whole thing and ruined the episode. The story line was evolving nicely and there wasn't a point where I was itching to fast forward. I was loving how all those loose threads of story were coming together... Of course now I can't think of anything except for the stupid, STUPID sire bond crap. If Damon does know (he is usua
Love Chuck and Blair together! They are the best couple on the show. Serena is just pathetic! She wants to play big girl, but obviously isn't mature enough. I have always like Nate, but really, finding out your girlfriend is underage and still having a "grown-up" relationship with her is just GROSS! I don't think that I want to even mention Dan. His hair is FRIGHTENING! You would think that Georgina would cut it in his sleep or something. He is having a high school tantrum years too late. I feel like every character wants to be treated as an adult but doesn't really want to be an adult. Serena and Blair have really lost something, letting some kid get the best of both of them, what is up with that!? Gossip Girl has even lost something, she's obviously ready to throw in the towel. I would like to never see Sage or her father again. I think Lily needs to face some of the consequences of her actions. Being on house arrest in a beautiful penthouse is NOT a punishment. I would like to see the return of Jenny Humphrey, she might make things interesting.
Feeling lukewarm about "The Five", still it was a pretty good episode overall. There were so many great moments, but the thing that sticks out most in my mind is how great Elijah looked back in the day (WOW!). I like Stefan and Elena- just not together, they seem to bring each other down. I like Klaus, Rebekah and Stefan together, they were probably so awesome in the 20's. I am sure that Damon has an agenda all his own, because that is the Damon we all know and love, BUT I think he has the best feeding plan for Elena since bunnies and blood bags are not doing the trick. The Damon School of Feeding seems to be her best bet and she is being whiny and ungrateful. She treats Damon like crap and then she will run back to him when it suits her. Her little after party fit was totally Elena, but still disappointing. Her character is so frustratingly stale, she's almost as bad as Bonnie.
This episode is one of the best Vampire Diaries episodes ever. There are so many great things I will try to fit them all in without repeating the entire episode line by line. I am a Delena fan, so of course I loved the steamy Delena scene. I also like the Stelena scenes because it shows their great chemistry, which is something that I don't always see. And YAY Stefan for finally getting mad at Elena because he just lets her do whatever. Tyler was awesome! he seems like part of the group, not just as Caroline's boyfriend. Damon and Ric brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad he went to the cemetery to mourn privately, its just his way.
I loved the intro, it was perfect. I found the episode to be lacking only because they had so many things going on and not enough time to put everything in. I should just be satisfied that the writers are considerate enough to tie everything up before jumping into the next BIG thing. I think Elena is the selfish one, she always has to have it her way, if Stefan won't give her want she wants, she will run to Damon
I have mixed feelings about this episode. I knew the direction that they were going with Elena as soon as she made a miraculous recovery in the hospital. I have also thought for a while that Damon never had a chance, which makes me mad because of all of the small Damon and Elena moments that are in the majority of the episodes, I feel like they wanted us to root for them. I was most surprised by the whole Klaus-Tyler deal. I think that was my favorite part of the episode, in fact I had to watch it again so I could try to figure out just when Klaus took over. Maybe I like Damon so much because I agree with a lot of his reasoning. I would always choose the person I love over anyone else even if they hated me for it. I never understood the problem with Damon giving blood to Elena in S2 because she would have still had the choice to complete the transition.
@Allison Thanks for the clarification. One thing that I really love about this show is that they really try to be consistent.
I am now thinking that Alaric has a major weakness, the sun. I wonder if it would be possible for them to get him out in the sun long enough that he would get to a point where he would be incapacitated. Could he heal after a prolonged exposure if he were deprived of blood? It would be gruesome. Maybe Ric will have to get his own daylight ring. Just a thought...
Let me start by saying that I liked the episode. Alaric is just awesome, good or bad. I am not much of an original fan but kudos to Klaus. He rocked it when he was trying to get into the house and then again when he told Elena that she was coming between Damon and Stefan, Way to tell it like it is, Klaus! I did have a few problems with it: why does the new improved vampire hunt not killing any of the other Vampires and why can't he walk in the sun? The other Originals can, and isn't Evilaric basically an original too? I am also bothered by the fact that when Elena wanted help, she wanted Stefan. My opinion may be biased but it seems to me that Damon has been doing most of the Elena rescuing this season, and what about the epic "I will never leave you again" speech and the motel make-out session? I have to wonder if the triangle is over because Damon never really had a chance.
