That ending had me in a state of Shock. The WTF factor was at its highest ! Ragnar getting baptized, crazy. And Lagertha, Rollo, and Floki showing up was mind blowing. And judging by his reaction, he didn't see it coming either. He probably thought he was gonna sneak out and all. Floki's reaction was like cursing Ragnar. Had me crackin up. Wasn't it Bromantic though, he did it to join Athelstan in heaven... He doesn't care about the religion like that, he just misses his friend. Athelstan's death left a hole in his heart didn't it ?
Rollo HAS been shining this season. He is even on that princess's radar.
That spike thing was sooo cool and gruesome !
Finally Lagertha is back. In the previous episode as well but in this one she leading the attack. You're so right Henry, they were like ninjas, stealth and quick ! Loved it.
So Lagertha and Kalf hooking up was not revisited...bummer lol.
That earl and his hair, I was laughing along with him when the executioner chopped the guard's hand instead. What a sneaky one !
Raganr telling the others who the boss is, was about time ! Too many opinions and too many leaders haha.
In the previous episode I felt he tried and trick Floki and the rest. He didn;t count on Bjorn getting badly injured. It's like he meant for Floki to go crazy-er.
Wessex got crazier too ! King Egbert has completely lost it. Taking Judith as his mistress, his son's wife ! She could only say yes in order to protect her children. Aethelwulf isn't an idiot after all, he did suspect his father hoped he'd die back in Mercia. Egbert denying it sounded so fake... Well, Alfred ends upp ruling in the end, so it still worked for him.
So for Ragnar, what happens next ? Him becoming a Christian, whatever his reasons, will most definitely cause conflicts.

What a show ! What a beautiful episode !! I absolutely cried my eyes out lol.
I was mad at Gellis and at Claire. I knew Claire would survive. Gellis, I wasn't too sure, and the reason for that was she'd been accused of witchcraft longer whereas Claire's stories could be turned around. The witnesses that talked about her could be discredited easily.
What I didn't see coming was Gellis being from the future ! MY MIND WAS BLOWN AWAY ! True when she was disappointed for coming by accident and not to change things, I thought she'd always suspected Claire wasn't from that time. She always tried to make Claire admit but she never did. When she said the f word, it didn't click ! I had to rewatch to realize. OMG, she came from 1968 ?! I think she had a purpose, maybe for the Jacobites to win this time around... That was heartbreaking as both tried to save the other... Ned helping them was so awesome. He had me crackin up a few times. And what's more heroic is that he did it without Colum's approval ! I so cried when Gellis "confessed" and when she showed the "devil' s mark" it all clicked. And finally Claire realized they were both from another time. I suspect that being from 1968 compared to Claire's 1945, Gellis had way more knowledge than Claire about things. And she may have been from Scotland originally as well.
I was not too happy about Jamie showing up at first as I hoped this would make Claire FINALLY understand. But him showing was soooo cool, like wow, the man IS the man lol.
She told him everything and poor him realizing that he beat her up for trying to go back to her own time was sad. But that wasn't the only reason. And boy that love scene was steamy ! Phew !
Once again I cried when he left her by the stones. The feels were too much for me. I couldn't ! You could tell she wasn't ready/didn't want to. But she tried anyway.
Though she made the choice to saty with him, when she goes back to her time, she won't have a choice I suspect. I still haven't read the books (very annoyed about that lol), but she will go back. Frank and her tried to reconnect but it honestly didn't work. So when she goes back, what will happen ? Next week ! She'll finally meet Jamie's sister ! I remember the preview for that episode when the show came back ! I cannot wait !

I agree. You could tell he was sick after his fall. The coughing blood, meh. The PEEING blood, now that was bad, really bad. It can be a few things : punctured organ, internal bleeding, maybe concussion and something else...
The seeing the dead part had me freaking out. I thought he was close to dying, but those may be hallucinations due to whatever is going on inside him.
I know he doesn't die like this, so for now, no need to worry.

Yeah, no problem ! I can't just leave y'all in this mess. We gotta stick together LOL. I know that atm you don;t review shows that I watch but can't for when you do !

Thanks. I do feel better. I love that you interact with the commenters. Some reviewers don't and it's sad. I will miss that if/when I stop watching this show. I will watch until the finale though. No point in me giving up now. Can't say about next season though....

Terri, you asked so here goes( hahaha) : Why must we subject ourselves to so much grief ! There I said it. Don't get me wrong, this installment was a step up from the previous ones, which may have to do with Catherine AND Francis telling Mary off, but it's stll not enough ! I so wish Catherine had slapped Mary. She showed restraint, but her words were like lashes ! And like most of y'all, I was abusing my screen with cheers lol. I agree that Mary didn't show much remorse... Though she "came back" to Francis' side, I don' know. Is it a little too late (for me anyway).
Bash though, my gosh. I didn't see that coming. To stop the prophecy from becoming true he killed Clarissa. That was just cold... Like, wow. I said in my previous comment that his actions were taking him closer to the pagan world and darkness, well that one sure did. Lo and behold, Francis woke up right after that. Eerie...
Keena, is there nothing else for that character. I mean, like seriously?
Lola went downhill for me. Supporting Mary into hurting Francis, her "friend" and not figuratively slapping some sense into her, is just appalling !
Mary and Conde were just , well, boring. And aww poor Conde had a bit of a tantrum, boo hoo ! This girl is a total idiot ! Francis putting her in her place was just brilliant. Poor thing just woke and had to deal with this crap. Well he can't just sit there and take the humiliation anymore, it was about damn time !
Claude and Leith, I agree that something sparked. But I love him with Greer and that's that. Can it work out on the long term given her "profession" probably not. But right now is enough.
Reign is testing me. They didn't kill Francis this time (thought it was bad timing anyways), and that was good. But this show...It took me everything I had to watch it. Terri, your review was spot on and I can tell you're growing tired of this farce of a show too !

Daredevil Review: A Head-Smashing Good Time!

Love this show !! Healy smashing his head in that spike, the first time had me in a complete state of shock. You'd think I'd know btter.Nope, second time watching it and it still got to me ! HORRIBLE ! Fisk's introduction was really interesting because it started with Vanessa. And I found myself rooting for them. So somehow, it made Fisk more human, vulnerable. But that changed when/how he killed Anatoly. The gore and gruesome were in full mode there. WOW ! Not for kids alright.

I'm rewatching the whole thing and thought the same. Fisk bashing Anatoly's head like that was... And I too thought it was pushing it and somehow felt sorry for the guy. Now about what they deserve or not... between human trafficking an other activities they were involved in, they're no angels.
