I second your motion....good call!!
...like I posted earlier,...give 'them' time,...and I do mean them...see how Bishop develops with 'the team'...and how the writers weave her into the show, the plots,...and again, the team. If you've seen this thing since the J.A.G. days, you know that the writers have been great. I didn't care for McGee's character or even Vance's at first but look how well those have developed!!...if you still feel like this after 5 or 6 more episodes,...fine...find something else to do and/or watch for that hour!
I guess I assumed that he did something like Bishop did,...discovered a potential lead and decided to pursue it his own....unfortunately for him.
Hey,...people....easy on Bishop and her character. You just knew that the writers can't dub in another 'Israeli ninja' replacement....the newbie has got to have a different personality and background,...so think positive and lean back and enjoy as they develop Bishop and her interaction with the team---that's what is going to 'make or break' her character,...but we all are going to need more time and exposure before we get into judging...Wickersham is not de Pablo and never will be, so...let's not pre-judge....not yet!! :)
My guess is that Ziva will do the tracking/dirty work but just as she's about to carry out her 'sentence', Tony/Gibbs/the team will catch up to the gig and keep her from finishing the job...then things could get dicey!!
Hey,...everyone plays a part and has a different personality on NCIS,...the interaction of the parts is what makes the show the attraction that it has (ala 20+ million a week!). Tony is the ringleader of the humor side, but McGee, Ziva and even Gibbs get their zingers in once in awhile. Even with the serious side of investigation of killings, terrorism, etc., there is and needs to have a nice piece of 'alternate entertainment' once in awhile. Ever hear a speech (politician or otherwise) that had no interjections of humor here and there???....not very attentive after the first few minutes, were you....same goes here....I say hats off to the writing, production, direction, & cast...the whole thing just works....what series could say that they were still #1 after 10 full seasons??
@RobinR----won't have to worry about Hadr---he was done in a couple seasons ago when a claimore mine nearly claimed both Vance and Eli.
I've got to admit that I was wrong about Mossad being responsible for Eli's death,...even though it was not 'sanctioned', rather being a selfish move by the deputy director to move to the top---at least, that's what we're being led to believe so far?!!
That's the problem I have right now---it seems we've been left up in the air still---like we need a third episode here to tie up some loose ends.
....got cut off...continuing....I meant earlier, "...he had to beg her to join HIM at the Vance dinner".
...in ending: "...and the direction/s of the rest of this year's episodes. Where does anyone think that the writers are headed with this?
@Karla. I haven't studied or read up on the Mossad, but your assessment sounds very 'right on' to me---can't believe that the Israelis would turn on one of their own---they're just too loyal for that.
And,...I too will mourn the loss of Nouri,...his characterization of Eli was sooo perfect over the years,...and I'm sure that the writers knew that knocking off his character would take away from some interesting future plot adventures involving Ziva,...but, obviously, they decided to make that call!
Seeing how, supposedly, Perette is the 'most popular' (at least, most
e-mailed) of all the NCIS cast, this episode should be 'well-attended'!!
I'd hope that it will be as good as it will be anticipated :)
