this is Newsroom not soup opera! it is not supposed to built up some drama about a fake emotion! it reports the news the way they were supposed to be reported but were not! it lets the news be the main character and everything else it's supporting cast! that is the point of this show. maybe you should stick to reviewing pure soaps and other fiction. this is a different kind of animal all together and you can't force it to fit into whichever box you deem appropriate.and of course they will use sources that pop out from here and there, this is not reality tv, this is a show built AROUND real news. and if you think that in reality with more than a hundred people working on a news show there will not be at least one person who knows sb who matters or knows sb useful in 8 cases out of 10, then you need to real speak to a couple of real journalists on TV. i have a couple of friends, do you want their numbers? btw, they work the news too and they love the show!
okay so the kids were just tooooooo adorable! and when they said "boob loophole" i nearly screamed, this phrase is so going to get caught up by every guy. i dread it!
i was thinking the same thing about Casey! where the heck is he??? i thought they reconnected!
i keep watching this show, and i love love love Daniel but episode after episode i find myself not 100% satisfied and i can't figure out why. it is not like it is the first time that i don't like the female lead, usually i can ignore it easily if the male lead is charismatic enough and in this case he is more than enough. then what is it? it almost feels like there is not enough meat to the ep, the concept is great, the male lead and his supporting cast is wonderful (except the female lead), the plots are interesting but there is a serious lack of substance! i don't know, maybe they are too busy showing off the concept that they forget to weave in the real human story behind the crime? maybe all the gadgets (hallucinations, codes, smart words and scientific methods) are a little over used and over shadow the story. maybe they distract me too much from the emotional side to each crime.
oh yeah, the church at its finest no doubt!
i saw it coming but her reaction hit me hard. i was preparing through out the ep not to cry but it was impossible with the way Kyra played it. that woman is a genius! i don't want to even think about the fact that there are only 2 eps left and we still have to deal with her future, the leak and the rampant rapist lawyer and now this! what will happen to her daddy? on an off note can i just say that with all the ways the church tried to protect itself here, the only thing they managed to make themselves look guiltier! and for the love of God! a homicide is a homicide! why should the church get special treatments? but i guess that if you are rich an powerful and you can afford a strong lobby in the political spheres then you can set the terms! i wonder though, they ran in real quick to get the journals before they even knew he didn't do anything to the kids. this to me means that they didn't care whether he was a child molester or not just as long as nobody would find out! oh yeah, the church at its finest no doubt!
i love this actor to bits!! i hope this and pretty little liars together will be able to jump start his career for real. i want to see him big roles playing main characters!
it's great that they are going back to the angels vs demons rumble! i missed it with all these ridiculous leviathans ..... but what about Castiel??????and will Dean get a love story too??? he is always so alone! and i don't mean his one night stands, i mean generally speaking. the boy has too much on his shoulders!
@cha11i agree about the actress, she just disappears whenever Eric is in the shot because he totally fills up the screen with his charisma and personality.
i am undecided, i think i like it, i love Eric McCormack. the prob for me is that there are so many shows with the same formula (police/FBI team plus an eccentric yet genius consultant) that it is hard to be really grabbing and original. it reminds me a little of "Monk" slash "the Mentalist". but i am definitely sticking around for now.
