Yeah Nick, I get the impression that Audrey's boss set everything in motion by sabotaging Lyritrol or framing Bower Pharma for deaths. Joanna is an object lesson in how not to be a good cop. I was going to quit a couple of episodes ago but I guess I'll watch until the mid-season finale.
James Callis was wasted on another underdeveloped Villain of the Week epiosode (he had less screentime than Thea!). Carissa, the episode was awkward and embarrassing enough without Diggle/Oliver complimenting Felicity at the event. Felicity was great. I overwhelmingly prefer the toned down make-up for Felicity.
The Norn took someone's jealousy?possessiveness? and Kenzi absorbed it when she broke the receptacle. It's Kenzi+possessiveness/jealousy not another person.
This Fitz is better. Fitz and Olivia are mutually self-destructive. Mellie's the best. Olivia not sweeping for bugs regularly is ridiculous. Pentagon guy is super creepy. I bet he's the mole.
I don't like flashbacks. I like the flashbacks when they are absent or few in number and directly related to the present but I did like learning a full story this episode. The flashback did drag in places. Now that Felicity will have a bigger role, I hope there's not as many "Felicity magically solves X in 2 seconds" moments. I hope Felicity doesn't pine over Oliver for years. The 2 characters, Oliver has the most chemistry with are Felicity and Diggle. Felicity walking in on Oliver training should be amusing.
Gonino was good this episode being confused, angry and sympathetic to Emma. Laurel should have figured it out long before but it's great that she knows now. Sutton/Rebecca don't know Laurel knows which is great. Emma lying to Mads was just forced drama. I love the group planning sessions. I seriously doubt Ted had Derek killed. Alec/Kristen is cliched, wrong and nothing but manipulation on Alec's part.
I got spoiled on Twitter about Ted and the twins. Theresa is in danger. Thayer needs more development.
I don't think it's related but Alec gave Thayer 20k dollars in season 1.
God, don't let Emma and Ethan go back and forth for seasons!
