   There were pictures of them kissing/hugging on set on October 22nd. Which is really recent. And more before then, less than a month ago. And obviously it wasn't Dan/Serena.

    Her father has been absent from her life for 14 years. She's desperate at this point to establish some kind of relationship with him, and if he wants to be back in her life, then she's obviously going to fight for it. It's too bad that in the process of reconnecting with her father, she is inadvertantly pushing away the people that love her: Nate, Rufus... Nate definitely had a point, but Serena is too clouded right now to see that. Serena is clinging on to what she has right now. Somehow, I just see this turning into a mess, and I'm not sure if she'll get anything positive out of it.
