No, no, no, no, no! Seriously?! Ghosts, again?! Haven't the writers learned anything from their past mistakes? As if it weren't enought that this season has been disappointing on so many levels so far, and that we might be loosing the endlessly entertaining Klaus to the spin-off, now they have to bring back the ghosts... Yeah, the writers need to take a long creative break or something and come up with some new and remotely interesting stuff.
Yeah, this is barely a surprise... Maybe now Alaric will come back to Mystic Falls. There's all this talk going on that some dead will come back from the other side in TVD... maybe Alaric will return as well. I miss his bromance with Damon so much. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
As a true fan (of the novels and the show), I was so happy that the wait was finally over, that I was generally willing to overlook certain weaknesses and flaws of the show. But I was rather disappointed that we didn't see Arya in this episode, since Valar Dohaeris is strongly linked to her storyline. She should have appeared in this episode. Other than that, scenes beyond the Wall don't really do it for me - everything happening beyond the Wall is depicted so intensely in the novels, characters and stories have so much strength and power - the show just doesn't do them justice.
I didn't like the finale at all. Most of the stories felt forced, unrealistic and unrelatable. I felt like I was watching some cheesy romantic comedy starring Meg Rayan, filled with corny lines and endless clichés. Did I somehow miss an episode where we ended up in the paralel universe of "and they lived hapily ever after"?! Quite disappointing from the show that started out with so much promise and edge. This season was all over the places and the second part of this season was a major let down. The only thing I liked - Shoshana breaking up with Ray - that was some good stuff! The rest was completely intolerable nonsense.
I found so many things in this episode quite disturbing. Hopefully the girls (and the boys) of this show will kind of get it together in the season finale, but somehow I doubt it...
OK, we all know that this means that this show is as good as canceled, the only thing missing is the official announcement from the network. Let's focus on how to bring back Matt Davis to TVD. Bonnie could resurrect him or something? That would be the best use of her witchy-powers within 4 seasons of this show. And Alaric could tell us interesting stories about the life on the other side... Can we file a petition or something?
I agree, killing off Lexi so soon was definitely one of the dumbest decisions. I like her character very much and she should have lasted much much longer on TVD. I like seeing her in flashbacks (not so much in the ghost themed debacle of season 3) but it would have been better to have her around on a regular basis. I would gladly trade her for Bonnie. I bet Julie & Kevin are singing "I wish I could turn back time" on this one every day. I wonder if she's gonna hook up with Damon in the 70's flashback...
So we're kind of taking a nice long walk down the memory lane... this might take a while, since HIMYM will return for another season. I hope that return of Becki Newton doesn't mean that Barny and Robin are going to hit a rough patch (again) and break up (again and again) so they can make up and break up several times throughout the next season and then conveniently realize in the final episode of the show that they were meant to be together forever... but... that was just a thought.
Oh man! This show really needs to end soon. The writers must be suffering from some sort of creative block - are they gonna bring EVERYONE back before they finally wrap things up?
It was such a treat to watch Raj in this episode. That was just an amazing storyline for him. Really enjoyed it. I kind of like his new love interest, quirky, weird and ... damaged. As for the rest of the episode, I have to point out one thing - the RUBIC CUBE!!! Straight out of Sheldons pants!!! - LOL! Superb!
I just recently started watching this show. I liked the first season except the unfaithful Julia and the unfaithful Dev (didn't make any sense to me). I don't like that we have so many different musicals in making, it will be hard to follow - should this show go on at all (based on its terrible ratings). I liked that they tuned down the over-the-top rivalry between Ivy and Karen.
Elena is gonna become far less entertaining verson of Katherine... I mean Kathrine was/is one crazy b... but she is an endlessly entertaining character every time when writers decide to randomly bring her back to the show. I whish there was a way to undo everything related to sire-bond this season. Such a colossal nonsense.
I also think that it was stupid to kill off Jeremy when he was finally getting a hint of a storyline. They should have really killed off Bonnie instead - she is the most annoying character and nothing but a plot device filling in the gaps in various storylines. I still don't get why it is impossible to give a chance to Damon & Elena to be happy for only one episode. Love is difficult and love hurts - we got the message, seriously, we did - but now we are ready to move on and see some happy scenes between these two. We have all suffered enough through this season of TVD.
I still can't believe that Jeremy is really dead. I'm sure they'll find way to bring him back, wouldn't be the first time. As for everything else - boring, boring, boring...
I don't watch Smash, but it has had some bad reviews for this season, so...
I just read somwhere that some people watched the pilot of The Cult online a week before it premiered so, I guess it messed up its ratings last night. But CW should blame itself for that. Hope they don't cancel the show immediately. I liked it - it's different and I think it deserves a chance.
Well the show is something different for sure... Spooky and creepy - I liked it! I'm gonna stick with it for couple of episodes to see where it goes from here. Plus seeing Matt Davis makes me reminisce about good old days of TVD when Alaric was part of the show...
