Lindsay is an alcoholic. When she asked Halstead to be her date at an event for her old school, she not only ditched it but headed to a bar with him, got drunk and sent serious seductive vibes at him. She responds to stressful situations by turning to alcohol and cheap sex... and that was true even before Nadia's death. What Lindsay needs is an intervention... and there is a perfect character for this in the Dick Wolf universe: NYPD Captain Donald Cragen. He is also an alcoholic cop and also pulled a gun on a civilian while in the gutter... something the promo for the CPD series finale shows Lindsay doing. He was so horrified after having done that that he joined AA, but had to continue to fight the temptation to drink through his whole career. I hope he will challenge her to do the same... and if he were to get a good script, Dann Florek would absolutely nail that in a guest-star appearance... he is a very good actor that seldom got the chance to show his range... a flash-back or two to earlier days, aided by old L&O and L&O SVU footage, could help him win CPD's first guest star Emmy.

A pilot with Stella Maeve (the actress who played Nadia) in a lead role just got picked up by SyFy, so she will be enjoying a well-earned promotion from ensemble player on "Chicago PD" to lead player on "The Magicians". I expect to see her get a lead on network TV in three or four more years. I would rather be happy for Stella and her future as an actor than unhappy about losing Nadia, so I will choose to look at her departure that way.

Dani needs Annie to be there for her because her husband no longer is. That being said, Dani seems pretty rotten right now... when one sees reciprocal cheating as romance, one is pretty far out of bounds. Perhaps Annie had reason to wonder just who Dani was making out with in the closet in Niagara Falls after all...

Covert Affairs Review: Annie Got A Gun!

I think Joan the manager of her CIA group is more like Annie in 15 years as a forty-something.

To the younger generation, taste in men passes for standards. These female characters are all tramps with no standards.

From what we've seen of the new SecNav, one would expect he'd have asked EJ for her resignation by now without a damn good reason. Perhaps she has a line on the Phantom 8.

Note all the redheads in tonight's episode... not just Shannon redux, but the Chaplain, one of the women who taught at the school in Afghanistan. At one point, I was expecting to see Lauren Holly walk in.

Loved Lauren Holly's multi-dimensional performance as a woman scorned. It would have been so easy to make her a cartoon character...
