  1. Taylor Momsen & Jessica Szohr Let Go From Gossip Girl; Kaylee DeFer Promoted to Series Regular!

I could care less for Vanessa, honestly, I feel like it was inevitable since the viewers don't seem to favor her. But I don't want this to be true; first off, unpopular opinion, I love Jenny. I always have. Thus far, I'm not fond of Charlie, but we'll see where the story goes. It has potential, but for some reason the actress portraying her just annoys me a bit. Just my two cents.
  2. Now That's More Like It

They had her dressed relatively classy, but still sexy in tonight's episode, and now this? Ugh, Serena, if you really want your professor to believe that you didn't send the email soliciting sex don't dress like this. It's rather simple, girlfriend.
  3. Juliet is Still There

She has no style. It's like the costume department didn't even think it over.
  4. Juliet is Still There

Why has this girl's wardrobe been so largely ignored?
  5. Gossip Girl Round Table: "Belles Du Jour"

I meant to say "schemes" against our UES characters.
  6. Gossip Girl Round Table: "Belles Du Jour"

Seriously you guys, this episode was PATHETIC.
I cannot believe I waited all summer for this piece of fluff. The acting was horrible, we hardly got to see any Paris landscape (just flashes of shop windows, why film in Paris if you're not going to SHOW Paris? Seems like a waste to me.), and the whole Dan/Georgina baby storyline does not intrigue me. In fact, I'm really struggling with why Dan Humphrey STILL hasn't grown a pair. He really seemed to be coming into his own last season at college, but now he chooses to just casually forgo a paternity test, or put it off for whatever reason? He doesn't even seemed phased that his "fate is sealed." Dan is supposed to be the street smart, savvy character. What happened to him? The only realistic part of all of this is the adults don't seem to buy it for one minute, especially Rufus. I loved Lily's "Please, you're enjoying this," to Georgina. At least the parental units in this episode were semi believable (especially Eleanor and Lily together on the topic of Serena at Columbia, and a note to the writers? No no and NO.)

I really wish Georgina would get killed off by a Russian mob, because her character bugs the shit out of me. Whatever motives she may have, I find myself not caring, just angry, and bored. Really angry. To me she is whiny, and not in the least bit the evil nemesis they make her out to be. Sure, she's a pathological liar and she scenes against our UES characters, but short of that, she lacks the bite and sly persona that Agnus has.

I wish that the subpar season premieres the writers have been feeding us for the past two years improve, because if they don't, how do they expect to keep viewers or improve ratings? I am constantly being let down by all the hype surrounding the return of a new GG season, but I stick around, because a loyal fan just doesn't give up on a show after being invested in it since its beginning. I find myself questioning, however, whether or not we'll ever get back to the intrigue of season one. Maybe I'm reaching for the stars, here. I don't know.

The only thing I am excited about is Katie's character. She seems pretty awesome/mysterious. I can't wait to see what she brings to the show. However, if she and Nate become an item, I don't give them two seconds together. She's too smart for him.
  7. Gossip Girl Set Photos Galore: Jenny's Return, Serena's New Man and a Major Fashion Event!

Agree with Queen B. And UGH, Serena, MUST YOU? The ensemble and hair is just too much. Hair department, enough with the braided ponytail! Not a good look at all.
  8. TV Ratings Report: Dancing with the 20 Million Viewers

    Here's what this proves,
Gossip Girl still sucks. I want my Gossip Girl back. :(
  9. Taylor Momsen on Gossip Girl: It's Done, Dude

Here's what I have to say about all of this,
I hope Taylor stays on the show, and I don't have any inclination that she's leaving. I've noticed that people may be transferring their Vanessa Hate to Jenny, why do this? Yes, she's screwing with everyone's beloved Serenate, but hello, this is GOSSIP GIRL. Shiz is SUPPOSED to go down. Without the drama, the show has to survive on whose hair is shinier and that lack of what the writers are calling their pathetic excuse for a plot these days.

Taylor Momsen is one of the few actors on the show that can actually act, her and Ed Westwick, and I'm standing by that. Their characters are fantastic, and they always make the most of whatever writing they're given, even if it isn't the best. I hope to see more Chuck and Jenny scenes because together they are explosive. They seem to be the only diabolical characters left. Put them together and you get magic.
  10. Jenny, That Little ...

I may be in the minority here, but I absolutely adore Little J. Always have.
  11. Serena and Dad

    Return of ATTRACTIVE Serena!
Don't get me wrong, even though I'm a girl, I find her insanely hot, all the time, but they were really pushing it with all the hoochie mama dresses they were putting her in. Here, she shows some skin (those LEGS!), but it's done in TASTE. Welcome back, bb. We all knew you had it in you. I don't know why, but turquoise looks so classy on blonds.
  12. Report: Ed Westwick Dumps Jessica Szohr!

So I just read all of your guy's posts and that report was mean. :(
If the rumors aren't true, what a cruel, late April Fool's joke that is!
  13. Report: Ed Westwick Dumps Jessica Szohr!

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
This is so f'ing FANTASTIC I could scream. Now we can get married! I knew he'd dump that whore! I'm sorry, that was mean, but who else wasn't thinking it? *Wink wink *nudge nudge

I actually don't think the GG cast members should date each other at all. Hey, I'm just as much a Chair shipper as all of you, and all that chemistry on screen would play out nicely in real life, at least in theory, right? But let's get real, they have to work with each other everyday. (Blake and Penn are still going strong? They never hit the radar. I think that's classy.) I don't want issues off screen. That makes for divas and drama, bar fights, and someone blurting out gay slurs. Yes, Isaiah Washington, I'm talking to you.
  14. Parenthood Review: "The Situation"

    I love Parenthood.
It's one of the better new shows on TV and I will continue to watch. The acting is great, especially from Peter Krause who plays Adam. All that aside, I'm not understanding why Max's Aspergers syndrome is being referred to as a "Situation." As a higher functioning eighteen year old girl with Aspergers I know how hard it is for people to understand, but I've never taken kindly to people referring to me as "ill," because what I have, and what the character Max has, is NOT an illness. Why not just call it a diagnosis if the network is so worried about getting sued? There is no right way around the word, it's called ASPERGERS. Everyone is so afraid of saying the word instead of finding the right way to help the child. In Adam and Kristina's defense, however, I'm sure they're confused and frustrated. The problem with getting the proper help for Max is they don't know where to BEGIN. These parents are flailing.

I wouldn't say I'm offended, but the writers of this show need to be careful with how they treat this character and have him portrayed. The other parents offering money, or repeatedly ask if they could help...C'MON. It's not like Max has Cancer.

Aspergers is hard to understand because it has such a broad spectrum. But the scene in the baseball stadium was pretty on target, with another parent tapping Adam on the shoulder and Adam responding with something along the lines of "It's not like we're losing money, can't keep a roof over our heads, or for you to bring us food or anything..." because they don't! All that's lacking here is support from other confused, typical parents who don't know a thing about Max's diagnosis.

I also think the little boy who plays Max is simply delightful and I think he'll get many more offers after Parenthood.
  15. Gossip Girl Promo: "Inglorious Bassterds"

And just a side note, Leighton could have done better with the whole tearing of the necklace thing and "If someone does something awful but if it's for love is it okay?" line. That was a great line but it was way too melodramatic.
  16. Gossip Girl Promo: "Inglorious Bassterds"

That just straight up gave me the chills.
I don't think Blair will sleep with Jack, it's a ruse, calm down, people! Although I think the writers are just using whatever little obvious "scandal" there is, I still have faith. This season is no season one, by any means, but it is looking up! I loved "The Sixteen Year Old Virgin" last week, and this week's wasn't too shabby, either. Here's hoping they'll keep it up. Dorota with a pistol, ooooo! Although I think everyone should leave the "bag beenies" to Little J. Vanessa looks, well, like Vanessa. S looks pretty fuckin' bad ass in a leather jacket, though, I must say. Maybe everyone is dressing like Jenny for the purpose of the game...
  17. The Tuesday A.M. Gossip Girl Plus-Minus Index

And in response to Kate, I agree with you. I think these characters, coming from privilege and money, would be Conservatives. That's not to say that Democrats can't come from money, or don't, but it is a little hard to see any of these characters voting for Obama, much less caring for Democratic issues. Maybe Vanessa's mother...oh, I forgot, she'd probably be a nonconformist.
  18. The Tuesday A.M. Gossip Girl Plus-Minus Index

Vanessa would not own a strand of pearls, let alone matching earrings, and hideous gloves, no matter how kinky she was trying to be. Minus 1.

Jenny wouldn't apologize to Agnes, the crazy bitch that torched her entire collection, got her into trouble, and abandoned her. Minus 4. (And later, she wouldn't take a drink from the girl that brought her the drugs earlier. Minus 1.) And when it came time for it to be the other way around, it was kind of half hearted (not that I'd expect any different from Agnes).

Hasn't Little J learned ANYTHING from Blair? She's still so naive. It makes me want to yak. I really thought Jenny was smarter than to believe Agnes' false bravado. She'd never in a million years take Agnes back as a friend after all the shiz that went down. End rant. Aw shit, you know what? Minus 20. But I hope she sticks around, regardless. Because I love the character so much...

And while we're on the subject? Willa Holland is fucking brilliant. ("Nah, let's put her to bed early." Oh SNAP. REAL acting? REALly decent acting? Plus 5!) Plus 10 for her return. Here's an evil, vindictive bitch that actually WORKS, unlike Georgina, who just gets on my nerves. Agnes is actually certifiably insane, and I love her.

Since when did Chuck become so trusting and warm? Who IS this guy? I don't even know how he can hold his head up these days. Back when he was a total sleaze, at least he had FUN. He never took himself so seriously. Minus 5. Can we see him in something other than a suit and tie? He's not 40!

That's not to say Ed Westwick doesn't bring me to TEARS (not easy), and that he isn't my favorite anymore. I love Chuck Bass. I love the character and the way he is portrayed. And I didn't mind him smiling at Elizabeth last week, that warmed my heart, but I don't think I can stand this storyline ending abruptly... or being dragged out. I don't like that we're being toyed with, what's Elizabeth's deal, is she or isn't she Chuck's mother? And at this point, do we really care? It's getting old. Time for new developments.

Hotel takeover and Jack? C'mon. Everyone knew something was about to go down, everyone but the smartest characters on the show. What happened to my Chuck and Blair?! Minus 10. But plus 5 for yet another tear jerking performance from Ed. I just wish it would have lasted longer.

Does anyone even go to school anymore? Or are all of our characters just hanging around Manhattan with nothing to do but meddle and plot in each others lives all day? I know school was never a huge part of the show, but the fact remains that these aren't adults, no matter how many purple ties Chuck may own. Minus 2.

I did NOT see it coming when Blair zinged the CEO of those department stores ("Where Bristol PALIN shops?" Classic. Offensive? Maybe. But that's Blair. Plus 3.) and totally blackmailed him with the whole gay escort thing. Usually, this show has become so incredibly predictable, but I was actually thrown for a change. I threw up my hands and cheered for Blair, because that girl, that plotting, intelligent, kind of evil but love to hate her girl, is STILL IN THERE. We need to see her doing more things like this. But mind you, NOT over the top. And not as filler, either. (*Cough cough Serena *cough) Plus 10.

One clique shows up at Eleanor's show from Columbia, proclaiming they read Gossip Girl, and all of a sudden Blair is enamored with Columbia? Doesn't Nate go to Columbia? You'd think she would have thought of this while she was applying to schools, or go to him for advice? Whatever. Minus 2.

Warm moment between Blair and Eleanor backstage was so great, even if the dialogue was cheesy. Plus 1. Kind of upsetting that she went to all that trouble to save her mother's line, and she didn't even end up closing the deal, after all. But yeah, no one would notice Agnes drugging the models? Minus 2.

Other notable returns: Eleanor and DOROTA ("Baby beat Dorota's stomach like Lars from Metallica..." hahahahaha. Dorota rocking out to Metallica? Just that image alone deserves a plus 10.) These characters are great and need to be around much more often. Plus 10!

Jenny: "I was dating this guy... he's a dealer..." Agnes: "Cool!" Plus 2. "I missed you, bitch!" Plus 1. "...The smell of fresh pleats wafting through the city..." Plus 1. Great quotes all around this evening. But Gossip Girl's "Someone call the Fashion Police." Argh. Lame. Minus 1.
  19. Taylor Momsen Wants to Be Taken Seriously

Perez Hilton said Taylor was going to regret her interview with Seventeen (http://perezhilton.com/2009-12-30-momsens-going-to-regret-this-interview). While I don't think "regret" is the right word, I do agree with him. I feel like Taylor has taken her character from Gossip Girl and translated Jenny into her own life. The hair, the clothes, the "raccoon makeup..."

At first, I did not have a problem with this, experimentation is okay when you're young...hell, even when you're a little older. She's 16, she's figuring herself out. But along the way she's lost herself. Everything about her is different, even the way she sort of mumbles when she talks!

She gives off that "I don't really give a shit" vibe, which is turning me off big time. She does not seem approachable or friendly, let alone grateful for her role on Gossip Girl. It's a whole new diva. Of course, this is just the vibe I'm getting from her, I don't claim to know who she or what her values are.

Like Taylor said, she wants to "make a statement," and she's certainly done that. While I do not agree with her style choices all of the time (she tends to go the slutty route, when I think she's trying for sultry), I do commend her. She is causing controversy, she's making people take notice. Which is more than a lot of 16 year olds can manage.

But I really do believe there is a contradiction, how she dresses and claims to be a "loner, workaholic" at the same time. Sweetie, you're not fooling anyone. Don't start doing drugs!

Okay, okay. I take that back. Like I said before, I don't know her. Perhaps she's giving off that edgy exterior for a reason and really does work hard.

That said, I still like Jenny.
  20. Jessica Szohr: Teen Vogue Cover Girl

I am guilty of bashing Vanessa. I am guilty of hating Jessica because of who she's with (because, like any other girl who is in love with Ed, I'd rather him be mine, or, with anyone but Jessica). The fact of the matter is she's not bad looking (they made her look really skinny with that angle though), but she's definetly not a good actress (in my opinion). Other than that, I don't know what kind of person she is, none of us do.

I wish girls in general, even non celebs like you and me, would stop making their boyfriends their entire world. We are not our other half, we are our own, independent women, ladies! I don't really want to hear about her and Ed "cuddling," keep that to yourself, honey. Blake and Penn may be "boring," but you don't hear about them doing much more than SOME canoodling and LIGHT PDA. They are classy. I saw a picture of Jess and Ed grab assing each other in an alleyway. Yeah, classy, you two. I respect that they chose to be together (much to a lot of people's dismay), but I wish it wasn't used as such a publicity thing.

I am having trouble seperating Vanessa from Jessica even as I write this. However, I think Jess' Lucky cover was more flattering.
  21. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Danessa Plus Mojitos Equals ...

    WHO CARES? Ugh ugh UGH.
  22. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Jenny in New Love Triangle?

It seems, dear fans, that we are torn.
Whether you are team Jenny/Nate or team Serena/Nate, you all have a strong viewpoint. My own viewpoint, however, is tangled. I honestly don't mind Jenny, sometimes, I really like her. I find her with Nate kind of scandalous (him being older) and interesting. Gossip Girl is about the triangles, it's what the show is built on. However, that said, I wish it didn't have to rely on them so often. This goes back to the poor writing, I won't even get into that...

Then, on the other hand, we have you die hard Serenate fans. I can see where this is coming from, they've liked each other since day one, but have never been able to get together for REAL. Of course we want to see where this will go! This is the sweet, childhood (love?)pining for one another that's been on an ongoing thing.

I'm truly torn. On one hand, I want Jenny to stir things up. But, like some have mentioned, that makes her like Vanessa, and that's THE last thing we all want. I don't want the Brooklynites to live up to their loser, never quite IN with the crowd, name. Jenny should change the stereotype. But honestly, it's not the first time, or character, that's come between a couple. Maybe it's speculation. We can't get worked up yet.

And if Agnes is truly back, that makes me very happy. Freakin' LOVE HER.
  23. Gossip Girl Forum: "The Debarted"

    This better be good.
  24. Blake Lively Hosts Saturday Night Live

    Oops, I meant *were.
  25. Blake Lively Hosts Saturday Night Live

Gossip Girl: Staten Island had me awkwardly chuckling. It was just really lame, but I couldn't help but love "He told me I'm too pretty for condoms!" and that wasn't even Blake's line. Also, why did Blake play a host of trashy girls? We're they trying to have her poke fun at her slutty character? If so, she pulled it off with class (and the characters she played were hardly classy). The girl knows how to laugh at herself!
