I'm finally catching up...all I gotta say is, I was stressed out already in the first half hour of the season premiere. This season will probably end me.
LOL @ Chuck comment - did anyone else get an instant "flash" of the Buy More when he walked in that electronics store?
The current Juliette/Avery situation is pretty much the 15-years-ago Rayna/Deacon situation. Juliette went Rayna because she trusts her, but an even bigger reason is that she knew Rayna would understand what it's like to carry the child of a man she's in love with but can't be with. When Juliette went to see Avery to tell him in the last episode, she saw him stumbling out of a car completely wasted with some random girl. Likewise, when Rayna went to tell Deacon about Maddie, she found him in a drunken coma. I just hope the end is different. I have to disagree with you about Scarlett though. I don't think Scarlett's stage fright is weird. She had an epic nervous breakdown on a massive stage in the public eye - the fact that singing in front of a crowd still spooks her isn't weird at all. She has a perfectly legitimate reason to be afraid of the stage and of an audience. While I understand Zoey was trying to make amends and reconnect with her friend, she should have been sensitive enough to know that was a bad idea.
Great review, Christine! I'm starting to dislike Robin Hood...he's kind of selfish. It's great that Regina knows now that Robin loves her, but Robin was only thinking of himself in that moment. Not about whether Regina needed to know, or whether it would hurt her to hear it knowing he couldn't be with her. He needed to admit it so he did. Two - if you knew you didn't love Marian, for goodness sake Robin, why did you waste the time? If he had admitted it right when the kiss didn't work, instead of the whole town just thinking that the curse was too advanced (which is a possibility), they might have tried something else. Given that mother-son true love kisses have broken half the curses in Storybrooke thus far, they might have tried with their kid. Robin left Marian in danger just to save face. I can't stand Marian, and vanilla ice-cream was an apropos way to take her out. But Robin got on my last nerve this episode.
LOL...so true! But I'll take November sweeps over next May's finale!!
THIS. It's amazing how little we know about the titular character of this show - I'm looking forward to learning more about what made Castle become Castle.
Great review! Oh Avery....why, why'd you do it? I'm SO glad the baby is his, but ugh, wasn't Juliette and Avery's relationship complicated enough without throwing yet another one night stand into it?! I mean, really, Nashville writers. There really was enough drama to work with. I agree - Hayden and Jonathan have incredible chemistry. I love Deacon. I love how real he is. I love how he called Maddie out on her whiny nonsense, and I love how he bares his emotions when he comforted her. Charles Esten is incredible. I have always, always wanted Gunnar and Scarlett together, and I'm still waiting on that. Those two don't really work well with anyone else. They have way more chemistry together than any of their other pairings. Still not interested in Will and what's-her-face... ...And I'm finding myself losing interest in Rayna and Luke. They're kinda bland as a couple, but there's something duplicitous about Luke. Maybe it's just that he has different expectations about their marriage than he's saying. I don't know.
I agree. His faith in others is steadfast and unwavering, but he's always, ALWAYS having to defend and prove himself.
That was the first thing I thought when I heard Dollmaker..."wasn't he just on Arrow?"
re ATLA: I've watched the full series about 4 or 5 times (I've lost count), and that particular episode at least 6 times, it's one of my favourites. The scene in question happens right after Zuko burns Toph's feet:https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
