I think regarding Nate not being able to accept Blair being different is understandable. Not that I like Nate/Blair, because I don't, but since the first season it was explained that they had been together practically there whole lives.
So, Nate has this view of old Blair that he really didn't truly see until they were together again. It happens all the time in real life, when a soldier has been fighting in a foreign country for a while and finally comes home, a lot of times they and their significant other have a had time reconnecting because seeing and being around war changes people.
Not to say that's at all similar to how Blair has changed, but hopefully you get my point.
It makes me happy to see that even though some of you are fans of Blair, you agree that she deserved her comeuppance, which I have personally found rare to see because most Blair fans are whiny 13-year-old girls that have to defend any one who doesn't completely adore and worship Blair like they do.
It amazes me the arguments that can start over one statement about a promotional poster from before the show even started. Maybe fake is the personality that the writers originally came up with for Blair, but has since changed. No use arguing about something from so long ago.

Some of you don't understand the meaning of fake. If Blair was so "real" she wouldn't put up a front to make people think she's not a bitch, like the beginning of season 1 to Serena, and to her teachers and the headmistress to keep herself from not getting expelled. You can see she hasn't really changed in that aspect. Maybe she has since her father confronted her about the Carr incident, but that remains to be seen.
Don't get me wrong I like Blair, but when some of you whine like prepubescent 11-year-olds to defend her, it makes me think some of you are obsessed and take things way to seriously.
It's a terrible idea. It's obvious Bravo is just trying to bank on the show's success. But, what makes this show great is that is not entirely realistic. It's a fantasy and to try to turn that into a real life show, ruins Gossip Girl for one, and it will make it seem like Bravo would condone any sort bad or illegal behavior on their show, especially if the kids are underage.
You can say all you want that you just don't let your kids watch it, but some will watch and take it seriously. We don't need the future generation, my generation, being more screwed up and influenced by television than they already are. The problem isn't really with the shows, the problem is with the kids who don't know how to separate real life from fantasy.
So, when they watch shows like the Real World or this new one in the process they get sent the wrong idea. Some people know these shows are just to entertain and others unfortunately don't.
Yes! Someone else noticed that about Serena. She seems to be such a goody-goody. Now, I'm for her cleaning up her act, but the writers have taken it too far. And because of that Blair and Serena are seen at opposite ends of a spectrum, but really they should be on the same side. I mean, they're supposed to be as close as sisters. I want to see them take some bitches down, together. Maybe the writers are saving an idea like that for the future, but Serena seems to get duller with each episode. She always wants to do the right thing, we get it she wants to be a good girl, but I don't think someone can go to complete party animal to saint like she did.
I don't know about the rest of you, but in the last episode when Serena reluctantly gave Blair the picture of Dan and Rachel, I got excited. Does anyone else think there should be an episode where Blair and Serena team up and plot together, maybe against Rachel or Georgina if she comes back? I think seeing Serena act naughty with Blair would be awesome. Plus they haven't really seemed super close recently and I it would be good to see them have the BBF friendship they are supposed to have, especially since it's such a huge part of the show.
I don't understand Dan's reasoning for sleeping with Rachel. I mean, up until now I thought his character was the sensible one who always thought about something before he did it. Isn't the whole point to show growth in the characters, not make them a worse person then they were when the show started.
Are you all serious? I know the concept is hard to grasp, but maybe she just meant that she discovered the designer as in came across him. Or did that possibility not register in all of your Taylor-hater brains. Of course it wouldn't. You're so ready to judge her you throw logic and common sense out the window, and what are you left with, looking like a total idiot of course. I usually don't comment but I thought anyone who makes a comment about someone they don't even know deserves to hear how stupid, shallow and immature they are.
And to QueenBn'DevilC of course you would know exactly what a fictional character would say. After all you are one the writers of the show if not Cecily von Ziegesar herself.
I think no matter what couples people like the writers should definitely focus on the friendships of the characters or else we have couples getting together, preventing another couple from being together, then they break up and move on to someone else, then there's love triangles, and it all becomes routine and boring. And tell me if I'm wrong, but each of the teenage characters besides Eric who are regulars have each been in at least one love triangle already.
I love all of the characters especially Blair,Jenny and Chuck. To me they're the most interesting and the actors that play them do the best job. But I think it would be great if the writers mixed up some of the characters that interact with each other. Alright, I'll stop my rant now.
