I'm also glad they didn't drag out Zoe's leaving/not leaving. I loved that her father said he was proud of her for deciding to stay a GP. I know I'm the only one thinking this, but I wish they'd left the making up with her dad part last longer. Why? Because the daddy issues would have lead to spending more time with Brick. Wouldn't Lemon jump in the bay with Wade's Chevelle tied to her ankle if it looked like Zoe and Brick were dating?
You know what else I liked about this episode? Annabeth. I like how much backbone she's grown. I also like how Lemon and Zoe bond. It's so weird, but I think Zoe is Lemon's best friend. She's the only one to stand up to her and subsequently the only person Lemon opens up to and tells the real story.
That preview were George and Zoe are on the verge of kissing - I think Zoe's going to say no because she's betraying Lemon. Also George thinks scoring with Zoe would be the thing that would hurt Lemon the most. Zoe's not going to let him use her like that. Is she? I hope not.
Am I the only one who wanted Jesse to say "challenge accepted" when Wade dared him to come back to Bluebell to take care of Crazy Earl? I really liked that character and I want him to come back. A lot. I love how he lit a fire under Wade and gave Zoe something to do besides moon over George. I liked how he helped Zoe find the hunting party. I liked Wade having a reason for staying in Bluebell other than lack of ambition. He stayed to take care of his dad when he was clearly capable of so much more. That back story helps me see him as less Peter Pan and more grown up making the best of a bad situation. We hadn't seen that before.
Also, Jesse's easy on the eyes. Just sayin'.
Your poll asks which one gets the ax and which one do you want to keep all in the same group of answers. Which do you want? I want to keep Hart of Dixie. I don't watch any of the other shows. The poll is confusing.
I haven't been impressed much with this season's episodes. I was hoping for Rip Riley (I think that was his name) of the pirate king episodes for being Archer's dad. Last episode had some promise, but then it fell flat. Burt Reynolds needs to be offered a regular role. The Man from Jupiter was Amaaaaazing!
I'm tired of Mallory's sex life. New ideas, please. kthxbye
I know it's just wishful thinking, but ABC was about to cancel Castle after a 12 episode first season. Grey's Anatomy was on the block after a short first season too. Dare we hope?
I know I'm probably the only person who will ever say this, but before Wade and Zoe get together, I want Brick to get a crush on Zoe. They had that great scene in the office where Brick was explaining who all the people in the pictures were and now that Brick knows his wife has another family he might be vulnerable to the pretty lady doctor in the short shorts. When it ended it would put a believable wedge between Brick and Zoe. After the Hell's Belle's episode, I don't believe Brick wants to buy her out of the practice anymore.
I'm still trying to decide if Lemon is a psychopath or a sociopath though. Wow.
Christine, I agree. Remember in the beginning the heatwave episode Zoe knew who Addy the nurse was and they had a conversation about Snoopy tattoos and cold showers. The very next episode Addy introduces herself to Zoe like they've never met before. I'm not sure if they're doing the episodes out of order, but I think they may have shot several at the same time and cut the scenes together out of order. Continuity is your friend, HoD.
There are so many places this episode could have gone, but it focused on the wrong people then didn't even focus in on them too well. No storylines were furthered. Nothing was resolved. The only character who acknowledged anything that happened in any previous episode was Annabeth and in the end she decided she'd rather be popular than an actual human being. Sad. Disappointing. Waste of time.
And my comment is longer than the review. Sorry.
George's victory dance over Pictionary was uncomfortable. Matter of fact, every scene save the bar scene with George in it was uncomfortable. He's too perfect and it's past time the writers tarnished him up some. I want to know why he gave up on New York. It wasn't that he missed Lemon. He's too sane for being born and raised in Bluebell. I think I'd like him more if we found out he quit his job as a lawyer in New York and tried out for a part in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. He came back to Bluebell after his dreams of being a drag queen didn't work out and his boyfriend left him. If it's not that, then he's just as shallow and vapid as Lemon and they deserve each other. Golden boys are boring
