    TVD is a restaurant.

    First time you came you got unexpectedly good quality meal .
    The second time you came you found 10 dead flies in your soup.
    The third time you came you saw the cooks spitting into the meal and the steak that was promised was rotten and stinking.

    Will you come the fourth time expecting something good? no.

    they do just throw something from left field when they need a new plot line, but, how else would they survive if they Didn't do that?
    Oh, I don't know...how about BY ACTUALLY writing coherently, like all good quality shows tend to do?

    They will be throwing stuff at us we wouldnt guess,
    Sadly has not worked for last season and half. as 50% of S3 was outright predictable and the other 50% were trainwrecky "plot twists" that go against all possible logic and coherence.

    Damon has degraded.

    As obsessed as he was in the first season, at least he was snarky badass anti-hero, season two and onwards he deteriorated into a crybaby wimp who could not do anything without "loves of his life" saying something. .

    So, she completly ignores Caroline and Stefan's friendship in season 3, but in season 4 it's all very important? Okay, that makes sense!
    thats what this show has always done, sadly.

    TVD ignores stuff and characters till it suddenly decides it needs that.

    So Caroline/Steffie friendship was non-existent when Steffie was going through crybaby hell, but now suddenly because its Elena, the friendship yet again is there.

    Its same on how they are using Bonnie's family - her mother suddenly appeared out of nowhere because they needed a plot device for Klaus and now her Father will most likely appear for the very similar reason.

    The only consistent thing about the show is that every damn character is in love with elena and that Elena is this awesome saint flawless mary sue that does no wrong.

    and all of those themes are...3 seasons too late.

    Plec, one usually ESTABLISHES why viewers should care about characters first and only then starts doing stupid stuff.

    As it is right now, there's no reason to care about anyone but Tyler and Caroline. And certainly no reason to care about miss cardboard Elena.

    And if Plec thinks that suddenly after 66 episodes of nothing, she will manage to make viewers CARE about those characters and make them alive, she can dream on. The book has been already written. And no matter what happens the sour taste fo season two and three can't be washed away.

    Dantes sails off without Mercedes,but WITH Haydee...who forced him to accept her love for him.(Fernand,entrusted to take care of her,had sold Haydee into slavery,and Dantes rescued her and used that past to bring Fernand down).
    So basically Emily and Nolan ride off to sunset :P

    Edmond Dantes sails off with Haydee at the end of "The Count of Monte Cristo",his revenge issues behind him,and sure as shooting the series finale of Revenge will be our heroine sailing off to Haiti with Jack,her revenge issue behind her.
    The thing is, Dantes sails off ALONE. He got his revenge but he lost his love in progress of that.

    Betting that the end of the show will be Amanda sailing off, but Jack will be either dead or has left her by then.

    (cont'd because char limit) Its not a show about Emily getting some sort of happy ending because, frankly I REALLY doubt that it will ever happen.

    Emily has been going significantly darker and darker with every episode and has been adding more and more to the list of law-breaking offenses. I doubt they will leave her kill-free for long. Its a logical step. They just have to make sure to squeeze as much emotional potential from it as possible.

    BoredNow,nobody to root for = no reason to watch the show.If our heroine proves no better than her adversaries,BYE BYE REVENGE.
    You do not your character to have a moral ground to root for him. You need a character to be relatable to root for him/her.

    No one roots for Dexter because of some high ground because the guy has no high ground. People root for him because he is interesting compelling character, for example.

    Emily has a relatable background enough to be rooted for but what separates her from cookie-cutter main characters is that she does NOT have a moral high-ground and can go pretty damn dark and cruel.

    Emily's capability of doing morally questionable and cruel things is arguably one of the BIGGEST attractors to this show. Nobody watches revenge to see Emily be a good guy. People watch revenge to see Emily be badass and destroy others no matter the costs. Its not a show about Emily getting some sort of happy ending because, frankly I REALLY doubt that it will ever happen.

    Charlotte was acting very Victoria-like until she regretted hurting Yonkers.
    THIS SO MUCH.

    Till her regret and plane crash, she was being very much a mini-Victoria. However right now she can either go mini-victoria or mini-emily.

    Victoria is obviously not a goner, but she"for now" is for story purposes. It will be nice to see into what kind of person will Charlotte develop from this.

    Charlotte is obviously alive too and its just a logical progression of her life. THe finale really made me curious onto which direction the show is pushing her. She can either be mini-victoria or mini-emily now, after the plane crash.

    Americon Initiative is an awesome set up. A whole new list of targets and revenge goals. Possibly also connected to Takeda and some government conspiracies. Also most likely to Emily's mother.

    While I do find it hilarious that Revenge is a third(fourth?) show already this season that ends on Mother cliffhanger, the finale and set up for s2 was just flawless.

    Poor Jack tho, he's been in love with Amanda and now likes Emily but what he doesn't know is that Emily is Amanda and Amanda is Emily. I fear he will be riding to haiti with niether of them by the season 2 finale.
    I think that is the point though. By the time Emily is truly done, Jack(if he's still alive), most likely won't want ANYTHING to do with her.

    R Cook....why do you want Emily to become a murderer? There has to be a line that she doesn't cross or she is just the same as the Graysons....and no longer the 'hero'.
    Oh but that IS THE POINT.

    She is not a "hero". She never has been. She is not that different from, the people she is fighting. Emily is an antihero vigilante, highly manipulative and disturbed and, up to some degree sociopathic. Thats what makes her unique.

    I have no doubt that not killing the WHM will come back to bite her and that she will have to kill someone.

    Majority of literate fanbase HERE. You will be hard pressed to find any regular forum goer here who could even tolerate miss cardboard. I am sure thare are people who like miss cardboard somewhere. There are people who LOVE Bella Swan too afterall.

    And majority of fanbase here can share that opinion but I am NOT speaking "For" them. "we" implies unified response and there's no such thing

    I ADORED this finale but there's one thing I miss... why the white haired man haven't told Conrad about Amanda Clarke trying to kill him and looking for revenge on the Graysons? And how could the white haired man not recognize her being Emily, Daniel Grayson's fiancée?
    Frankly the wya its going, I would not be surprised on if her mother leads that terrorist organization or is somehow connected to it. The WHM did mention her mother.

    Well this cements it - Emily Thorne is batman.

    Hopefully Emily does NOT stop with her revenge now. This finale just added a whole bunch of new targets.

    Also who wants to bet that Victoria somehow did not board the plane or something, suspecting something and is hiding?

    Also can’t decide on whether Charlotte will become mini-Victoria or mini-Emily. The most of episode does seem to imply the former, but the episode end and the whole Victoria situation hints at mini-Emily possibility.

    Ashley on other hand needs to die. NOW. Hopefully Emily completely destroys her next season.

    (continued because of awful char limitations)The show then took even bigger nosedive with introduction of the entire Original Family of boredom, to the point that watching final episodes of the season felt like being forcefully fed sawdust for 45 minutes. The only way this show sees how to progress ANYTHING in plot or characters is by completely ignoring writing guidelines, logic and common sense.
    Hopes for S4: Get new writers and show-runners. ASAP. Also hire an actual direction instead of letting a janitor run around with a camera, because this show has got to have the worst cinematography on tv ever. From what is being heard about S4 is that its more of S3, but worse. Thank you but no thank you.

    Final Grade: F+. Apart from forwood moments(and even those were watered down and Stelenized), this season was, what's the word, oh right...POINTLESS AND DIRECTIONLESS. It consists of a dozen or so of filler episodes that DO NOTHING, of characters randomly introduced for no reason at all and killed off. Was this season of Originals? Really did not feel that. This season was like a headless chicken running around the farm. IT was 22 episodes of a Benny Hill theme tune playing while characters engage in most pointless and OOC things possible. Writers failed to do anything interesting with Elena, drove the main triangle into the ground to the point that main trio is outright unlikeable and boring. At the same time Klaus and Originals were completely and utterly ruined Was Klaus supposed to be a villain? sorry, missed that bit because of all the house drawings and ponny riding he did while crying for his mommy and father.     Best character: Caroline. No competition there. THe only relatable and well-developed character on the whole show.
    Worst Character: Elena. They managed to make her EVEN MORE annoying and EVEN MORE one-dimensional and EVEN BIGGER mary sue. S2 Elena at least had the moment where she stabbed Elijah. S3 Elena is outright annoying and bland and characterless.
    Best Episode:I'd say the premiere. Because Klaus was still threatening and Steffie was still not a wussy and there was some real intensity in thinking that Elena should be somehow hidden from Klaus.
    Worst Episode: The last 5 episodes of the season. Downright horrible and pointless mess of trainwreck plot devices, preictable plot "twists" and horribly bad writing
    Most Welcome Return: ANna and Pearl. Reminded just how much I used to love this show back in S1.
    Most unwelcome return: Rose. NO explanation needed.
    Biggest Surprise: That Matt is STILL not killed.
