I thought the pick for the mother was spot on. When I heard Casey Wilson was going to be in the finale, I thought it would be her but after watching the episode I'm glad it's not. I still can't believe we met the mother.
This show tends to sometimes lean towards the cheesy side but I just found myself rolling my eyes too much with this episode. I'm not sure I care enough to tune in next week.
I agree with the general consensus. The Hank vs. Evan story line is getting old. It's used up and washed out. Also both character's only come off as childish to me, even Hank. And Evan always walks a thin line between being obnoxious and being a driven guy. After Wednesday's episode he's officially crossed over to being obnoxious at least for me.
I'm not that angry that they killed Lexie because I understand that Chyler Leigh wanted to leave. But I hate the way they did it. Shonda Rhimes had to orchestrate a plane crash to kill her off and only gave Mark and Lexie maybe a 30 second goodbye. Something MEDICAL could have happened to her and the episode could have been watching her say goodbye to everyone. That seems like it would have more closure. But a plane crash?! Really? Ugh.
After Lexie died, I lost interest. It wasn't a great finale let alone episode. Grey's lost itself along the way, and to compensate they throw in crap like plane crashes. Ugh so
dissapointing.
Really great episode. I didn't know how the dance theme would go over (previous experience has not been kind). And I actually sort of liked Stephan, at least the normal non-ripper Stephan.
@Gina: you make an excellent point. Personally I think Shonda Rhimes got lost in her own hype somewhere along the way. This show now reminds me of a soap opera.
This show remains fresh every week which is always amazes me. It really really needs to stay on air and the writers should be recognized for the great job they do.
@Julie I understand that the story line called for getting a hold of one Original to kill them all. I was just calling out the writers choice for having Finn bite the dust instead of Rebekah or Klaus, who seem to be the one's causing most of the chaos.
