Glee Review: We Are The Champions

You hit the nail on the head with Bieste's story line. It definitely worked so much better with Puck then the girls and I do believe it was because he wasn't even trying to help. It seemed more realistic and less like a PSA. I also loved their moments together and thought they both acted tremendously. I did agree with everything Tina had to say in the beginning of Props but I also think it was not at the right time. It wouldn't have been fair to give her the solo then just b/c she finally said something. I do look forward to her having a bigger role next season though. Lea has been the star of this show since day one and I'm sick of people complaining about it.
All of the switch ups were hysterical. Quinn really got into the Sugar role though. And I thought Sue looked fantastic as Will (seriously a great look for her). And Will had her smirk down so well. I would have liked to see ore of Santana as Artie though.
I don't think there was a single song performance I did not enjoy. Though I never like the other schools performances that much (even though they are also very talented singers).
Does anyone else think Puck as Blaine looked a little like Jim Brewer?

On another note, anyone else think SJP might be Kurt's gay aunt that Anne Hathaway wanted to play?
I'm not usually a huge Kate Hudson fan but for some reason I really look forward to her being on the show.

I don't mind the tribute episodes actually. I imagine if I was part of a Glee club I would find it interesting to have everyone making song selections from one artist and see how everyone does it differently. I only worry that the plot will suffer because of it. And I like Britney well enough but they already did all of the good stuff (except Crazy). I don't know if they can make sense of it since it was such a big deal NOT to sing Britney the first time around. What good reason will they have to do that again?

Glee Review: This Is How You Do It

When I was in high school we made a big deal out of junior and senior prom. Any dance was a big deal really. I am not sure how this works though because they definitely do have juniors and seniors mixed together. Unless it is just because they are attending as dates? Blaine is Kurt's date. Sam as Mercedes date. Tina as Mike's. Or does anyone know if some schools do mix their juniors and seniors for dances?

Great episode and great review. You are spot on about it getting back to the old feel of the show. I do not have one bad thing to say. Even the Kesha son was good and come on its Kesha. Britney makes everything she performs fun still. Puck stole my heart. Rachael and Finn were so...Rachael and Finn. I loved Rachael's speech to Quinn. I loved Sue's excitement for Becky (and Becky being such a teenager and using the moment to trick her). I loved Sam picking up Artie. Loved all the stuff about Blaine's hair. And this might have been the cutest I've ever seen Kurt look. Now after seeing this wonderful episode I am really starting to feel sad that its almost over!

Glee Review: When Good Shows Go Bad

Very well said Marisa1983. I feel the same. I know I will always continue to watch even though I miss the only story telling. But I see the disappointment of others and I fear that there are not enough people like us to keep it going. If they don't get their stuff together there won't be a season 5. I'm not bashing the show or saying I don't enjoy it or don't want to wash it.

Can teachers not learn life lessons without their students?
I didn't really like Puck's songs or his story. I don't think i was necessary for his dad to be there (I'd rather have seen the boys just confront him) and it grossed me out when he was kissing on his teachers neck. I didn't like The Rain in Spain but I liked the idea of it. It was a similar situation to the original but with a twist.
I loved all of the Rachael and Kurt stuff. Especially him saying he loved her at the end. Lea is amazing and had me in tears several times.

I normally agree with Matt's reviews but don't actually feel bothered by Glee's poor storylines/lack of story arcs. But this episode was just too much for me and I agree with Miranda. I felt like Bieste's story came out of nowhere and really did prove that the show feels compelled to include these PSA's. But I do agree that the great thing about it was Shake It Off. The girls sang it wonderfully. And I too am glad it wasn't all wrapped up and maybe this is the start of a longer arc. But I was annoyed by yet another scene where someone tells Will "his kids" were doing something he didn't believe they would do and where they get sat down and preached to (they even said that this time)and then in the end they actually teach the grown ups a lesson (even if Bieste lied when she told them that). I'm not a teacher but really do students really impact their teachers lives this much? Can teachers not learn life lessons without their students?

ctd:
I can imagine Joe and Quinn connecting so quickly because from what I remember about being in high school, I used to get crushes like that all the time. all it would take is one look here or there and all of a sudden I couldn't stop thinking about a guy. In Joe's particular situation I can see him being so confused so fast (and without even knowing if Quinn was also interested) about his sexual feelings and his faith because of him being home schooled. This is a surprising new experience for him. I did like their duet too and thought their voices sounded nice together. He is an awful actor though and I never liked him on The Glee Project.

In some ways I normally agree with the reviews but I still always manage to enjoy the episodes regardless. I too wish for better writing and storylines but I just don't think it is going to happen. So I just enjoy the humor and the music.
I thought most of the songs were good but I think they tried to fit too many in and it resulted in Dance With Somebody and So Emotional sounding sped up. Heather isn't a fantastic singer so I cut that song some slack. But I expected more from Lea and Nya especially since they are 2 of my favorite performers.
I think the Kurt and Blaine story was a good idea but wish we had seen it happening over time. Tina and Mike are in the same situation, how are they handling it?
I kind of agree about Mr Shue. It does borderline being creepy sometimes.
