  1. Glee Round Table: "Blame It on the Alcohol"

I have to agree with Steve on best quotes. I loved that she called him Blaine Warbler!
  2. Someone is Gonna Die on Glee!

If it's Burt I will be devastated. I don't wanna see anyone die
    :(

I don't know if I think it will be a Glee member or a side character.
  3. Glee Review: Drinking, Vomiting, Tik Toking...

I thought this week's epiosde was funny, I really liked it. Sure it had it' preachy moments but that's to be expected. I agree that alcohol is a touchy subject for TV and is hard to really get right. But I'm glad they touched on it because it is a really big deal in teen life and it almost doesn't seem realistic to have a whole series about teens and never see them party.

Someone mentioned feeling left out because they didn't address any charcters not being drinkers. I didn't think of that until now but it would make sense for Emma not to be a drinker because when your drunk you can lose so much control of yourself. It definitley would have made sense to mention that.

I think it was kinda messed up for Rachael to be interested in Blaine when she has just started really getting close with Kurt and knows how much it would hurt him. But I can't blame her cause their kiss was really hot. It gave me hope that they can pair her with another guy besides Finn and I would like her with them. She's hot with Puck too but he would never treat her well enough so I am not on team Puckleberry.

I loved the arguement between Kurt and Blaine. While I feel Blaine was a little dumb for not realizing a big part of Kurt's disapprovval was because of his feeling for Blaine, I was happy to see him put Kurt in his place for once. I love Kurt but he does have a tendency to act all high and mighty sometimes. Like later with his dad. That scen made me so mad. I adore Burt and I hate when Kurt treats him poorly and gives him a hard time. Burt accepts Kurt and loves him and tries so hard to let him know it. He was just being a good parent.

I still hate Finn. It annoyed me that they made it seem like he knows so much about drinking. I don't feel like that fits into the original character. And I'm sick oh him acting like he's better than Rachael. Does anyone else feel like he's belittling her a lot now?
  4. New Glee Soundtrack: Song List Revealed, Spoiler-iffic!

Hey GG to answer your question, I don't buy them because I don't really buy cd's in general anymore. However, I use grooveshark to listen to music when I am in work on my computer and I always add the newest Glee songs to my playlists. In some cases they just make a song I already love more fun (Don't Stop Believing, Bad Romance) In others they do them 1,000 times better than the original (The Only Exception, sorry not a Paramore fan) And then sometimes they introduce me to something I never would have known about before (usually the broadway stuff). When it is something I was originally unfamiliar with I usually look up the original as well and sometimes I like that too (Heads Will Roll).

It's definitley less sucky then Kids Bop lol. But I've never seen the point in that because you don't even know who the kids are in that. And well it would be annoying to listen to kids singing I think lol.
  5. Glee Prepares for The Rachel Berry House Party Trainwreck Extravaganza!

While I'm excited for a new episode of Glee and it looks like it'll be pretty darn funny, I'm not looking forward to all the Parent Groups complaining more about how inapprorpiate the show is for featuring underage drinking. But it seems like a pretty typical thing for a teenager in Rachael's place to do. She's trying desperatley to get attention and be popular. What better way to do that (in a high schooler's mind) then to throw a kick ass house party that involves drinking and games where people can hook up?

Besides that I'm also excited to see Mr. Shue and Coast Bieste hanging out too. Maybe they will make Mr. Shue a little more fun again!
  6. Glee Spoilers: Hope for Blaine and Kurt?

I'd love to see a sort of slow drawn out courtship since this will be the first relationship for either of them. It's almost like I don't want to see them try at all but just naturally fall into place. Like we don't even realize it but before we know it they are basically together. That sounds terribly boring but I feel like we get enough drama with the hetero relationships and I just want a nice romantic beautiful connection ebtween these 2.
  7. That's Rich: A Kurt Assessment of Glee

I think when the show began they wanted to show that the Glle vluc was supposed to be this dorky, uncool thing to do and they did by showing forms of bullying the members.

I don't believe they neccessarily itnended on makign bullying a major part of the show. I think that they received a lot of feedback from the public really liking Kurt's character and they wanted to delve deeper into his life. I think, as someone pointed out before, that because many of the writers and people working on the show are gay so this is an easier topic for them to handle.

It's never really bothered me because it's worked for the show in creating so many different layers. By focusing on Kurt's storyline they were able to spin all of the stuff with Kurt and Finn and their parents getting together. I adore Burt Hummell and their relationship and I've loved seeing him stand up for Kurt in so many ways. The trouble Kurt's had with Karofsky has worked in with the relationship he has with Finn. We've seen Finn's character deal with this issue by making him choose ebtween his popularity and someone who is now a part of his family.

But why they chose to make Karofsky gay as the reason he is bullying, I don't know. When I first saw that epsiode I was shocked and actually found it interesting. Maybe that's all they wanted, the shock value.

Ya know what I never understood? Remember when Finn and Puck slashed the tires of all the Vocal Adreniline members? They were almost arrested for that crime and yet noone did anything when Vocal Adrenaline egged Rachael. I'm sorry but I think it's much worse for a person to be assaulted then for cars to be vandalized. I understand Mr. Shue not wanting the club to go after VA but he should have goen to their school and complained. It was barely addressed.
  8. Glee Review: Lots of Luck, Santana

oh and how can I forget??? I loved Lauren beating up Santana and finally giving her a taste of her own medicine. And for the first time in awhile I really enjoyed Santana. When Puck sang Fat Bottomed Girls her facial expressions had me cracking up. And I loved the part where she figured out what was going on between Quinn and Finn and then of course sabotaging them.
  9. Glee Review: Lots of Luck, Santana

Great review Matt! I think I agree with everything you've said.

I'm loving Lauren and I'm happy they've incorporated her into the show more. For the doubters who think it's too unrealistic to see someone like Puck with someone like Lauren, take a look at Artie and Britney. They're also a couple you would never see in a real high school. But I looove them. They're adorable and their relationship has made Brit more of a person and not just a character with funny one-liners.

I'm still bummed about the Finn and Quinn thing. Who was that person Cory Monteith was playing for most of the show because it didn't seem like Finn to me. He was mean and conniving and that's never been Finn. Back when he cheated on Quinn with Rachael in season 1 I felt it was because he truly felt something for her and couldn't help his curiosity and feelings. This just seemed like a dude who has the hots for a girl and he doesn't care who he hurts. That's very high schoolish I suppose but it's not Finn. Now I understand why everyone has been complaining about the show lacking continuity and character and relationship development.
  10. Glee First Listen: Berry Covers Perry!

I agree with most of the comments posted. I loved season 1 for the variety of songs and how they played them into the plots. I enjoy Top 40 very much but by the time they are covering them on Glee I'm pretty sick of them. I don't understand why you would try to impress the football team and make them want to be part of Glee by singing Need You Now by Lady Antebellum. If I think of that as a girly song then teh football team is sure to also. The good news is, the cats rocks everything they sing and half the time I like their versions better. I'd definitley like to see more of a mix again.
  11. Glee Episode Preview: "Silly Love Songs"

It would certainly be nice for Kurt to have a boyfriend because I think he struggles not only with being teased for his sexuality but also with feeling he will be alone because of it. But does anyone else feel that Blaine sometimes looks down at Kurt? At least when it comes to the Warblers? I saw someone post on the review of the last episode about getting tired of that club being all about Blaine and I think I have to agree. He's a great singer and performer but it's leaving me a little bored.

I think tomorrow's episode is only going to make me angry. Quinn kissing Finn right in front of Sam? How cruel! And I hope Rachael won't be around to see that, or Santana kissing him.
  12. Glee Review: Take This, Dina Lohan!

xomeg I agree with most of your post except not liking the hockey team and their mullets. I'm a big hockey fan as is my boyfriend and we got a kick outta that part. So many things about this show are cliche (like Britney being such a dumb blonde, she's funnay as hell but some of the stuff she says is just way too stupid to be realistic) and it can be silly but I think it's fun. Obviously hockey players don't really have mullets anymore (except Kane from Chicago and Van Reimsdyk from Philly) but I still thought it was funny.

I agree with your points on why Finna and Quinn doesn't make sense and that even though they would hate it, the football team would cooperate with the Glee Club so that they could still play in there game. And thankfully they didn't get all cheesy and make everyone buddy buddy afterward. Bullying is definitely not solved that easily.
I loved Lauren playing football she was hysterical. And I liked Tina wanting to be more involved then just lieing down, I felt that actually worked for her character.
  13. Glee Review: Take This, Dina Lohan!

I do enjoy the Karofsky story line but I see what you are saying about it being a cop out. When we first realized he was gay I wasn't expecting it. The bullying is coming from the entire football team so I am sure many of them are just ignorant high school students who don't know how else to deal with someone who is "different". I think it's interesting that they chose to focus on a character who is actually doing it because he feels the same way and is ashamed/ scared of those feelings. But hopefully they will surprise us and it won't end up being as simple as him coming out, apologizing and having everyone then get along.

I am so dissaponited over this whole Finn and Quinn situation. I disagree though that there was no build up for it. Well I suppose there wasn't any build up until now but I thought this entire episode was filled with looks and suggestions that it would turn out that way. It is very hypocritical of Finn to forgive Quinn but not Rachael so I do hope they don't get back together. And I felt that Quinn changed a lot after dealing with being pregnant and she matured a lot throughout season 1. I hate to see her going back to being the girl she was at the beginning of the show.
