This was a pretty great episode, and the review covers my sentiments exactly. It actually had me laughing, not rolling my eyes at the ridiculousness of storylines. Glee, please finish strong next week!
So upset that GCB is canceled! It really was just hitting its stride, and it would've been so nice to see at least one other full season. Damn you, ABC!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS. To all of this.
As much as I've loved the show over the years, it's definitely time for it to be off the air. It's gotten pretty predictable, and not in a good way. This could've been the season that really made an audience miss Wisteria Lane, but instead, it just gave us terrible, inconsistent writing the way it has for the past several seasons. I hope they do the series finale justice.
I really hope this gets picked up for season 2. It's not the greatest show, but I am definitely entertained by it.
I never really expected Megan to leave SCDP. As much as I feel like Don's work has been slacking off in this season, it seems like he believes that working with Megan keeps him current. Telling Stan and Ginsberg, "I'll just ask Megan about it, she'll know" seemed like he is more dependent on her than she is on him. I love to hate Megan, even though I can't find a concrete reason why. But I will say this: last season when she and Don first slept together, she told him that she wanted to do what he and Peggy did. Did she honestly believe that, or did she lie in order to get closer to Don?
There are only 4 episodes left. Unbelievable. I'm hoping for more Betty, Peggy, and Joan. And I hope Don Draper pulls it together and that someone can turn that advertising firm around.
Totally appropriate for an episode about prom. Call me a sucker for boy bands, but I like the original song. The funny thing is that this cover doesn't sound too different from the original, which makes you wonder how auto-tuned both versions are.
Amanda's father being at the office broke my heart a little bit. He obviously knew nothing about what was going on in his daughter's life, and so to have her turn up dead made me think the situation outside of a scandalous context. I'm gonna need some answers about who she had been making those phone calls to. Both the VP and the FLOTUS are sketchy.
So glad April failed. I would've been legitimately sad for any of the originals if they failed, and had Jackson failed, I would've been bummed because he's shown so much promise and potential. But Kepner, with her out-of-left-field-Jesus ramble...I don't mind that she failed. Because for all the times that I've liked her as a character, there have been 20 times that she's annoyed the crap out of me.
Arizona needs more screen time! It's good to see her be vulnerable, and I loved Nick calling her "Phoenix" and "Tuscon", even though it took me a little while to catch on. Mark has a great poker face, because I couldn't tell what he was thinking either time he was on the receiving end of a female rant.
Shout out to Mr. Feeney!
I also wonder if fans will be voting for the performer or for the coach next week. I'd hope for the performer but with America, you just never know.
