Blair and Dan have few options when it comes to tracking down the drugs that were used to basically poison Serena. My guess is that they went to the only connection they had. Chuck and Nate may like their "herbal" remedies but we're talking prescriptions here, thus far that doesn't seem to be of any interest to them. So back to Damien. They only drug dealer they know that for sure sells prescriptions. It would have been a good start. After all there was a TON of stuff in that room. A big sale might be talked about. (I have no idea, just a guess). It's unlikely that either of them would have remembered that he once went to the same school as Serena, not with all the Jenny drama that went down last season.
As much as the rest of the world is rolling their eyes at Taylor and her behavior. It's clear that the producers of the GG support her. Otherwise they wouldn't have played her song during a beloved Chair scene just last ep. Taylor=shock factor=Ratings. It seems that they don't give a damn that she's obviously a mess. Sad really.
On one count the producers are right. Having Jenny around makes little sense. But flip floping and having her leave and come back is lessening their "Omg Jenny's back" factor they are going for. I think, either she should leave for a long, long while or come back fully. Since I'm not a Jenny fan generally, I think it should be option A.
If this is true, then I knew it. I knew Serena was going to end up in rehab. But wouldn't they be able to test for the substances in Serena's system and know that there was something else there? Or that she really didn't drink or take those pills?
Man, Lily is going to be so pissed when she finds out that Jenny was in on the plan all along. Sister, a word of advice. Never piss off the money!
I don't really see how Dan and Serena dating is that big of deal. Yes, step sibling love is gross. But it was never like Serena and Dan related to each other as siblings. They didn't grow up together. Their parents married when they were already in college and they had previously dated. Unlike Chuck and Jenny, which WAS gross, they never lived to together as siblings. And personally, I don't even care about Scott. To me he never existed.
So since her brother has COMMITTED a crime. Because that's what sleeping with a student is. Juliet takes revenge by drugging the girl he slept with? How is that even slightly justifiable? Even in GG universe....
@Nicole, yah but remember both Juliet and Colin saying that Ben was a professor. Also Mrs. Carr was young looking too. Talk about double standard! Dan has an affair with his teacher and barely anyone blinks, meanwhile Serena is being forced to pay severely for her actions!?
Honestly, I didn't like this episode at all. Gwyneth Paltrow is a great actress but Holly Holiday was a terrible character. Also I didn't like the song selections. As a Chigaco fan I was terribly disappointed in Rachel and Holly's number. First of all, Catherine Zeta-Jones did a way better version in the movie. Also, you HAVE to be able to dance to pull it off. Neither of them carried the routine. And when did they stop letting Lea Michele belt it? It seems to me that they're toning down her incredible voice when it's been a staple for the group. To be fair, it's not just this episode that I haven't liked. This season has been terrible. It just shows you what happens to a show's quality when it becomes super popular.
Other complaints for this episodes:
1) Principal Sue! No. The conflict behind Sue and Will needs a third party to play off of.
2) Mercedes just came off as desperate in this episode. The "tot" thing was silly. She could have just eaten them at home. Not a big deal.
3)I hate to say it, but I've had too much of a good thing. Mike Chan is starting to bug. He was never hired as an actor. He's a fantastic dancer but let's leave it at that.
4) Same with Brittany. She's great a comic relieve every once and while but they have yet to have a story line (other then her dating Kurt) that has worked.
5) Sam's irritating. Just throwing it out there. Finn is cute and charming, Blonde Finn (aka Sam) is annoying.
6) Less guest stars, more Glee! Say it with me! Less guests, more Glee! They just don't fit the way April, Brian Ryan, and Shelby did back in season 1. That and those actors were all brilliant Broadway stars. So yah...
7) Hate to say it, but Sue's hair jokes stopped being funny.
Things I did like (just to be fair):
1) I like Blaine, they've done a good job bringing him in. And I love, love, love Christ Colfer. He's an incredible talent. He's a joy to watch every week and he's storylines are actually good and very relevant to the times we live in. I mean the tension between him and the in-the-closet football player is fantastic! The youngest cast member is kicking everyone's ass!
2).....That's about it.... Sadly.
I will hold on until the sectionals episode but if it also disappoints, there will be one less Gleek in this world. As sad as I am to say that. For I loved Season 1.
As much as I liked the duet "Lucky", I'm going to have to be convinced that Sam isn't just a blonde Finn before I'm completely sold on Quinn falling for him.
What the hell? I don't mind the fat girl (I wish I had a name for her so I could call her something else) joining but where is Puck and Kurt!!!!!!!!!!! I think Rachel is behind Satanna also. But the only reason I'm still watching Glee is because of Kurt. Chris Colfer is amazing.
This episode was very unrealistic to me. If they had gone with something simpler it would have come off better. Also, she's not around often but I'm SO SICK of KC. She's bugged me since her first appearance and I'm irritated she will be working for Chuck now.
I have a feeling that Jenny's going to piece together what happened to Serena and realize things have gone too far. It would actually be interesting to see Jenny and Blair work together. Imagine the tension between these two former queens!
@Uoh Jenny a constant character? What? Have you been watching for that last three and half years? If anything her character has been all over the map. Other than that, I'm in agreement with you. I would love to see more Blair orientated story lines. As much as I adore Chair. I'm glad to see Blair taking a stand.
One thing about Jenny and the triad of Brooklyn. It doesn't make any sense. First all, even Vanessa isn't stupid enough to trust someone that's used her as a scapegoat in the past. Also Juliet single handedly cost her Dan. Dan wrote that he was going to give Vanessa another shot, until Juliet ruined that. Not Serena. And Vanessa also knows first hand that Serena has paid the price in the past. Hello second half of season 1! Now, for Jenny. She clearly no longer has an interest in Nate, so why is she still pissed at Serena? Why would she manipulate Lily, someone she likes? And why would she risk her flimsy trust with her father? What is she getting out of this? She already paid Chuck and Blair back with her blast. Why would she need to do it again? If Serena knew that Jenny was back, wouldn't Blair also? And obviously Blair doesn't give a damn anymore. Juliet is clearly crazy, Vanessa and Jenny are at least sane. So why would either of them agree to help her? Especially since she exploiting someone they both apparently like, Lily.
And as for Serena sleeping with her boarding school professor, I'm with Colin on this. Ben's guilty. Serena may be a slut but she was 16 years old. A grown man should have known better. Professors that have a affairs with students know the rules and therefore know in advance the consequences. Juliet's fucking crazy. And I hope she ends up in a psych ward somewhere.
As entertaining as tonight's episode was, Jenny's return didn't make any logical sense whatsoever.
I think without that horrible brown/gray lipstick she insists on wearing this would be a great outfit. She looked so good when she had hair like Serena in the last episode, she really is a beautiful girl. If the producers were smart they'd insist on separating the Jenny/Taylor personas. But its probably getting them ratings, so this is unlikely to ever happen.
Oh, and Juliet. Its NOT the perfect dress if you and two other HOTTER girls are wearing it too. God, you're so dumb you're having a teenager fight your battles. UGH.
Good to see Jenny without the make up. Taylor Momsen can dress however she likes off the show but the producers should seriously take control of her wardrobe ON screen.
How is ruining relationships with two guys she can't decide between from HIGH SCHOOL going to ruin Serena's ENTIRE life? Gossip Girl just hasn't been the same since they went to college, because seriously, NOBODY cares about this type of crap in college. There would be all these people from different schools and different states going to Columbia. Few of them would have heard of Gossip Girl, less would care about Serena or Blair. Its just not believable anymore.
