Honestly, I want to like Megan more than I do. Her character is just poorly planned. We never saw her developed.
They need to add depth to Megan's character. Right now she's too static, so of course we suspect her of foul motives. This is Mad Men.
I felt so bad for Roger. He looked crushed. Pete, is growing more and more greedy for power. Before, he had some redeemable qualities but now we're seeing the ugly side of ambition. He made me feel sorry Roger Sterling, that takes a lot.
I loved the Peggy and Micheal interaction. It was a reminder that Peggy was still judged for being a woman. Also that men could get away with being eccentric but Peggy would never had made it if she'd acted the same way. I like Micheal a lot. He's NOT what I expected when they talked about a new hire.
I think the reason we all suspect Megan as being evil is because she's so cheerful all the time. We're used to Don and Betty, we first saw them when they'd been married a long time. I'm sure as newly weds they were happy. I wish they'd do an episode where we get to see Don reflect back on the happier days with Betty, the beginning of their family.
I think Megan is extremely out of place. We all saw her struggle at that dinner. Betty would have aced that, it came with years and years of training.
I don't Megan knew how to react to Don's news about Betty. I think she was trying to be positive and it ended up sounding callous. Also, I think she wants a family. This may become a struggle between the new Drapers.
Poor Bay. She fought so hard for Emmett and now it looks like that's coming to an end. She went up against his intimidating mother and eventually won her over. She talked to Cameron like a mature adult about her concerns for Emmett's safety. She stayed out of signing a statement like Melody was pressuring her to do, because Emmett asked her to. She learned sign language and put up with Emmett's anger towards hearing people. She told Ty that she was seeing someone else, even though that was really hard to do and you could tell Ty was hurt. (YES I know that actor isn't coming back.)
All that and Emmett sleeps with her trampy ex best friend. Poor, poor Bay :(
We have yet to see Caitlyn's dark side but she's David Lee's niece. There has to be one. Also, she moved up the ladder pretty fast.
I wanted to slap Alicia a bit, she was totally turned on by Peter being the Keynote Speaker. I understand her reasons for not wanting to publicly damage Peter with a divorce but the guy's bad news.
Although I did feel a little bad for him, he had to make a tough call this episode.
Will's sisters are HILARIOUS. I loved how they went after Kalinda as Will's girlfriend. If they had guessed it was Alicia, that would have been awkward but with Kalinda, it was super funny.
Diane is the best. I love her.
Melody put Bay in a shitty position. She could have gotten plenty of evidence against Cameron based on Emmett's attendance and grades. It was MASSIVELY inappropriate to do that to Bay.
Once again, I'm underwhelmed by Kathryn's spinelessness. For a moment there she was about to kick some ass when she found that Melody was trying to use Bay and then she hears her sob story and relents. Her daughter was put in a horrible position by a woman that until recently had treated Bay like crap. I would have flat out said no. To either Daphne or Bay being involved.
As for Simone and Emmett. Shame on both of them. Especially Emmett. I get that he was angry at his mother and Bay but come one. He looked at Simone with the intention of getting to her room. There was nothing accidental about that look.
I dont think Simone called in the complaint about Daphne. Another girl confessed to it while they were on the court...And why did Simone feel the need to trip Daphne with two seconds remaining? I think she did it on purpose. While I think Simone is in the wrong a lot, I don't think she was the evil presence in the ep.
Gallery guy bugs me. He's pushy. I don't like him. He's like "I'm cute and charming, I can get away with being intrusive". Ugh.
As for Emmett, I think Bay needed to stay out of it. Take it from someone who has been in the middle of a 14 year old feud between two divorced parents. If you can stay out of it, stay out of it. The one thing I agree with is Bay talking to Cameron, ironically, that's the part that Emmett was the most angry about. Cameron needed to know what Olivia was doing under his roof with his kid in the house. The pot smoking never bothered me, but dealing is a whole other story.
I think the idea was that Karma's a bitch and that what Barney did to other women is coming back to bite him in ass.
Here's my opinion, either have Dan and Blair together for good or break them up next ep. The lack of heat in the bedroom is realistic excuse. But to have them overcome that and then break up, that seems like you are just trying carry on a popular romance with no intention of having them wind up together.
How many times does it have to be hinted that Dair will eventually break up? I can't invest time in a couple if there is no possibility of a long term attachment.
Oh, one more thing about the law case. Their lawyer is an idiot. Blame the money exchange on Angelo. That way the Kenish family is cleared at least. It's lying but what else are you going to do?
