@Mathew - I'm thinking that Mark will most likely be totally overcome with grief over the loss of Lexie and Cristina has a husband - why would either one of these characters need a love interest? @McFish - Cristina & Owen are separated & if they want to date others, I think they should divorce first, don't you? Or do you think if they are dating others they really will have tons of will power NOT to go to bed with those people? (I remember all the will power they did not have bedding each other every time I turned around) If they get to a point where they want to date others, they may as well pack it in because there would be no point in being and/or staying married. For myself, I am hoping for a reconciliation. Just sayin' .....
Part 2 - all those years he was just horrible to people & he started with SueEllen. Biggest surprise: Bobby really standing up to John Ross & acting like he hates that kid. John Ross is surely driven by revenge & hatred for his parents & Christopher ... wow! Next biggest surprise? Christopher's new wife wheeling & dealing with her brother against Christopher - wow!!! John Ross is going to cross that line with his Father & I will be shocked if J.R. did not go after his own kids' throat. He's going to teach his son that if he can't run with the big dogs, he best park his ass on the porch!!
The very familiar opening music was just so wonderful to hear again - like no amount of years have gone by - they changed the buildings & all but so happy that they kept the original score. I love the way old & new school has been inter-twined & glad that they still have the Cattle Barron's Ball. J.R. hasn't changed. He is STILL a conniving S.O.B. & we wouldn't want him any other way - Larry Hagman has already portrayed his character to perfection. Bobby is still a tender-hearted guy & is a great dad to Christopher. As for the very cleaned up SueEllen - a possible run for governor-ship. Good for her - she already has my vote. When J.R. told SueEllen she was the prettiest girl at the Cattle Barron's Ball, she fell for it AGAIN!!! Let's NOT be too naive to think J.R. would NOT try to bribe her office & if he was not successful would would get her thrown out of office ... did I mention he really IS an S.O.B.? God, all those years he was just horrible to people & he started with her. Biggest surprise: Bobby really standing up to John Ross & acting like he really HATES that kid ... John Ross surely is driven by revenge & hatred for his parents & Christopher ... wow! Glad to see Bobby show much more strength than he did all those years ago. Next biggest surprise? Christopher's new wife wheeling & dealing with her brother against Christopher - wow, wow, wow!!! They are all trying to do each other in!!! Well, things haven't changed A BIT at Southfork I see ... nor should they. It was great to see Lucy & Ray Krebbs at the now sham wedding .... It will be interesting to learn who did send that e-mail. Not Pam ... One last thing - John Ross is gonna cross that line with his own Father & I will be shocked if J.R. doesn't go after his own kids' throat. J.R. is going to show that kid that if you can't run with the big dogs, ya better park your ass on the porch ... oh boy!
Part 2 the corner & there isn't. This is tv not motion pictures where they can really elaborate on scenes. I liked the show myself but so many viewers did not. I am very sorry that Lexie died, from the moment she came on the show I liked her & her character. The 1-hr ending just doesn't make it - too much was packed into the show. I hope they start right at the ending point of last night's show. To me it would be very bogus to have everyone already found & back at the hospital being treated or operated on - plus I think they should have some type of memorial service for Lexie. I am hoping we get to see a real life rescue with Owen heading up the search team but that's just me ...
I heard long ago that bells/chimes means the passing of time. In my opinion, two of the BEST scenes last night were with Owen & Teddy - the first in the operating room when Teddy told Owen why she couldn't leave (Henry)& she wanted to remain a loyal friend to Owen because he's so broken & she admitted to her adding to his misery. Miranda paid close attention to what Teddy told him & she looked at Owen's eyes/face as Teddy was saying that to him. Then of course, when Owen "fired" Teddy for the reason he did. I did not see that coming. To help someone else become great, THAT is a self-less friend. I am sorry to see Kim Raver leave the show. I liked her & she really was a great mentor to Cristina. I think if viewers were not able to watch the first 6 minutes anywhere online as a spoiler, it would have been better for us. The more we know at showtime the more anti-climatic it all becomes as we are anticipating that something bigger/better is right around the corner & there isn't. Teddy hugging Owen is most likely because she is giving him support when they learn that the Cristina & the others did not arrive at Boise Hospital. Something has been nagging at me for a few weeks now that Owen is the one that dies. It just seems that having Owen & Cristina have sex when she is leaving him, was maybe a "good-bye & thanks for loving us as a couple" type thing & I hope I am so wrong!!! All of the Grey's cast will say they are coming back next season - they can't say anything else or they would be giving away who really isn't coming back. If it is not Owen, I don't know who it could be that dies as I am not sure any of the original cast members dies - I am wondering if that is too easy. Shonda never makes things easy ... never. Shonda said we won't see it coming - so we have to think outside of the box. I am not sure the character that dies is a "beloved" one - that word is subjective as to what characters the viewing audience really likes.
Part 2 - to his misery.
I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire hour - tonight's show was really great. Was it good-bye sex? Or was it "to get even" sex? Cristina goes to Owen twice & then leaves him. Of course, we were never led to believe anything but her leaving him & Seattle Grace would take place. They still can say a whole lot to each other with nothing much in dialogue. While I am happy that Cristina told Meredith she was going to speak to "her person" & it wasn't Meredith, I find that interesting seeing she was leaving Owen - why treat the husband you are about to leave as "your person" when ya never did before this time? And what about April? I felt so bad for her, she still joined the party even though she failed the boards & then Owen having to tell her there was no place there for her at the hospital next year. So many viewers don't like her, I do. Really felt bad for Owen - he got his ass kicked all day & having to erase his wife's name at the end just added to his misery.
If it is Owen who dies, I, for one, will be extremely sad ... I just really like him & I think Kevin McKidd & Sandra Oh just play so wonderfully opposite each other. It is my opinion, that the character of Owen Hunt has been the best thing that has ever happened to Cristina Yang - yes, even though he cheated on her. From the moment she laid eyes on him, he awakened something within her that even Preston Burke didn't. Neither Owen nor Cristina can stay away from each other .... their love for each other runs deep - again, yes, even though he cheated on her. We'll see what happens these last two episodes.
Perfect season ending show ... it was pretty high drama. I am very happy that Castle finally told Kate he loved her eye to eye & even though he had to divulge the secret he had been keeping, Kate had to find out for herself. I find the continued storyline with Kate's Mothers' murder very interesting because it is slowly unfolding & now the ante has been upped. Loved the way Kate & Castle got together at the very end - very tastefully done - no one was ripping clothes off of each other ... the statement "less is still more" still remains true today ... we all know where things were headed when they held hands & walked away. Kudo's to all in front of & behind the camera's ... looking forward to the new season!
