Loved the little relationship between Owen & Ethan - unless his parents die, I don't see Owen adopting him. Owen & Cristina are still "blissfully happy" leave them until next season to figure out kids .... they've had such angst for such a long time, I'd like to see them just be happy for the rest of the season. Of course that is NOT how Shonda & Co. see it - so we'll get what we get with them. April just rocked it again last night. She is really turning out to be a great assistant to Owen in the ER but I felt so bad for her when Elyse died & Jackson knew just what to do - just by sitting there pulling her close letting her cry & thank you Alex Karev for actually being sensitive towards April & telling the husband that his wife had died. Very good show.
You go Alex!!!
Very good review - if we thought war was waged against Cliff Barnes before this episode, there will be NO level Pamela won't stoop to, to make sure she makes her father pay for what he did to her & her babies. Hell hath no fury is how the saying goes ... before now we had no reason to but we'll now be rooting for her. Ol' Cliff Barnes was bad before this - now he just turned EVIL. He took her babies & she needs to be the one to take his life. An eye for an eye is another saying. GREAT episode. I may be totally wrong (& I most likely am) but what tells me that Judith Ryland murdered J.R.? God this show is GREAT!!! :-)
@ChristineOrlando - Very race scene between Sergei & Kate? That is quite an understatment - lol!!!! I've watched "soapy" type programs for a long, long time (& I don't exactly put BoF in this category) but that scene was closing in on soft porn! WOW!!!! I really enjoyed this particular episode. I am not as crazy in the shift in storytelling, taking it in a "sci-fi" type show. I really like Mark Valley - just not with Dana Delaney (bring back Peter & I know that's not happening as he died at the end of last season.) I REALLY like Dana Delaney, the writers just tend to write her character to be so snotty & aloof thinking she's smarter & better than the others. Her character can be quite offensive & abrasive when she speaks. I just wish they would soften her up a bit. I still really like the show & the idea behind it so I won't stop watching it. Ms. Delaney is very beautiful & I really enjoy her scenes with her daughter, Lacey, too.
I have read so many complaints regarding the entire plane crash storyline by posters on this & other sites. Personally, I have found all of the individual stoylines because of the crash quite compelling. Owen & Cristina & Callie & Arizona have been the best of the lot with what has happened to them as a result of the crash. For a husband to have to divorce his wife to make sure she receives a good settlement & for the husband to feel so guilty because he signed off on the chartered flight is sad. And with one wife losing her leg because the other wife instructed another doctor to remove it, surely is tragic. However, both couples seem to have survived it & hopefully they will continue to do so. While I understand why the hospital was renamed, I still really liked it when it was called Seattle Grace.
Very good episode. First, Bailey is back! She was the QUEEN of one liners & was so funny. Happy that Cristina finally got through to Derek & he was literally chasing after Owen practically begging to talk/apologize with Owen agreeing to return to the newly renamed Grey-Sloane Memorial Hospital .. with thanks going to Jackson Avery. His first great grown-up move assures that his former love/mentor's memories will be forever kept alive. April ROCKED it again with her patient. And again, NO to Alex & Jo. My question is .. what has happened to ANY relationship between Cristina & Meredith? All I see & hear is Meredith shooting Cristina down for this reason or that.
Such a great tribute to Larry Hagman. I thought Linda Gray's character really stood above all of the rest. Sitting in JR's room looking at their wedding picture & taking that first drink, again,(& LOVED the song played when she was in JR's bedroom) her raw emotions at grave side & reading the letter JR wrote her asking if she would agree to have lunch with him upon his return to Dallas & professing her undying love for him & bending down & with her fingers, kissed him good-bye were unbelievably loving & moving. I just wish that her son would have gone up to escort her back to her seat instead of Bobby. Linda Gray & Larry Hagman were best friends outside of "Dallas" & the emotions we saw from Ms. Gray were about so much more than acting. Patrick Duffy & Josh Henderson were REALLY terrific too. A GREAT, GREAT tribute to a guy most loved to hate.
@Christine Orlando - wish you would have said something about how "smarmy" Judith Light's character is as Harris's mother. I so wanted to post something a couple of weeks ago - seems as if THAT relationship is just a little toocloseforcomfort & I can give Harris just a tad of credit for marrying Anne for the reason he did. Emma is now with her Mother. How long it will be before John Ross pursues her? The sweet young lass & the badboy. And I think SueEllen came across as a bit "too friendly" with Gary or am misconstruing true Southern hospitality as I live way north of Texas. I wish you would have said something about that. Not a racing fan but enjoyed it not for the race but to show that we don't have to be oil dependent. The last scene with JR & John Ross, imo they weren't finally REconnecting - they were finally COnnecting. Isn't this always the way, just when ...
Part II - look on Richard's ... I am looking forward to finding out what Cristina & Owen told Alex when he brought out the liquor bottles from the OVEN!!!
Part III - 5 - chemistry between them. Now if the show brought back Dr. Lucy Fields, now we're talking sparks!! Again, that's my opinion. Sorry for the multiple posts - wish we had more room in which to say what we wanted to in one post. Sorry.
