I hate dair, Dan and I'm beginning to hate Blair too. How insensitive are you to be lovey dovey in front of your best friend with the love of her life at a hospital when her grandma is on her deathbed. I really do think Blair has lost all of her marbles. And Dan, that insensitive jerk couldn't even open his mouth to say to Serena I'm sorry for your loss. Instead he's to busy fawning over Blair, with friends like that who needs enemies.
@Alf I don't know what the writers were thinking. Are the kids still in college? I guess not, how could they find time to be in school when they are too busy running the spectator, running the empire, being the princess of Monaco, and going on book tours. Oh I also forgot to mention, dodging between relationships. It was so exhausting just writing this out...lol.
@Anonymous I was going to make a similar statement as you did regarding Chuck and Lily. I think Chuck should leave Blair alone for now and focus on other things. He and Serena should move back with Lily and spend time with family. I think being closer to Lily and Serena would do more good for chuck's progression, instead of worrying about Blair (because she's obviously confused). I just love the scenes between Chuck and Lily, and I miss those adorable scenes between him and Serena in Seasons 1 and 2.
It feels as if I'm watching a different show now. I understand in season 1 and 2 they were in high school, but I don't think it was necessary to change the whole concept of the show in order for them to grow up. I use to love the parties, the darkness, the comedy, sex and edge. Now it feels like I'm watching a sappy soap opera or a romantic comedy. Couldn't the writers have placed all the characters in the same college in NY? They could have made some great storylines with that. The parties would have been bigger, but still youthful. The characters could have other pratical love interests, instead of rotating with one another. The royal family storyline, really? The characters are still young, yet everytime I watch this show now I forget they are (the reason being these ridiculous storylines). The writers definitely made a wrong turn after season 2 and there is no way of cleaning it up.
I hate what the writers have done to blair's character. In trying to make her mature they've regressed her character by turning her into a selfish, hypocritical, whiny flake. She's screwing with everyone's emotions. She's only reciprocating feelings for Dan now because she's unhappy and bored in her marriage with Louis, she's not allowed around chuck, dan is around and has been a good friend to her. It's only a matter of time before she hurts Dan. I almost wish Louis would have left her at the alter, Chuck would go back to Eva, Serena would move out of B's house and somehow end up with Carter or Nate, and Dan and Blair would end up alone without friends.
