@Steve-O - I completely agree about the Zapateras needing to form bonds with the Ometepes whether they're talking about strategy or not. It's why Boston Rob commented that he needed to break up the Christian Coalition that was brewing when Matt was around. It's much easier to form strategy with someone you have a bond with vs. just trying to lay down a plan to someone you barely know.
@Steve-O - Good point about the talent scouts. I didn't realize that Survivor: Fiji was so filled with players from talent scouts, but if it's true, the season definitely wasn't as good as seasons where players seemingly came through a normal application process.
I know Dan from last season was a talent scout selected person and really wasn't worth much either. He just didn't bring the passion for the game that you'd get from someone who actively applies.
@Steve-O - good point about whether whomever loses the duel gets to be on the jury or not. I hope you're right about that.
I couldn't believe how obnoxious Kent was with the guy in the cab. I'm hoping there's part of the story we don't know, but I have no idea what it would be.
I'm pretty sure Jeff has asked about the tribe names before. Instances such as when the two tribes just literally merge their old tribe names to create a word. If Ometepe and Zapatera called themselves Ometara or Zapatepe, for instance.
Rob certainly isn't the first person to make up a name before. I just felt like claiming it was a Spanish word was ballsy. Unlike with some of the other obscure languages in the past, someone could easily know Spanish and know that Murlonio is not a real word. Still hilarious.
Believe it or not, we've actually had some technical difficulty with our Round Table writers being able to watch the past two episodes, so we haven't had the Round Table. We'll be back for sure next week!
I love your input, keep it coming. Every week I'm amazed at how clueless the rest of Rob's tribe is, but I don't want to write the same thing week after week. How is no one talking about this?
Any thoughts on my assertion that Stephanie could have been interesting if Russell wasn't around? I think that, like Russell, she wouldn't have been well liked, but would have really stirred things up.
@Piecar - I love suggestion #7. Why teams follow each other so much always drives (no pun intended) me insane.
What I'm always stunned by with teams is those who have maps and can't read them. The ability to read a map is a 50/50 proposition at best with any given team.
Cathy - Ha, fair enough. I guess I just figured no one would lie about being a federal agent. However, Phillip obviously thinks it is impressive, so whether true or not, I guess he'd have a reason to make it up.
The problem is that no one else thinks it's impressive. Talk about back firing!
@Beth T-J - good question. I've been wondering the same myself. I doubt we'll get a chance to find out, but I wish they'd let us know.
@jennifer - I had the same reaction at tribal council. I couldn't believe the gall Rob had to just ask Kristina for the idol. His voting comment was hilarious enough. Imagine if Kristina had actually given him the idol?
