Blair would never have her hair looking like that. And her dress is too blah... Blair would go all out on her wedding day. She probably just felt unspirited because she's going to be stuck with Louis for the rest of her life.
For me Dair is over, but I don't think there friendship will ever end, which is a good thing. I like to watch them together, but as friends. Chair is meant to be :)
Loved the episode! All the things I wanted happened, well kind of. Dair looks like it is going to remain a friendship which is the way it should be. Dan was really great, but he doesn't belong with Blair. I think he belongs with Serena. They were so great in seasons 1 and 2 and I really hope that the writers give Derena another chance. It looks like Serena finally realized what I've been thinking all along. No one, not even Nate, has been better with her than Dan. I don't think she will ever love anyone as much as she loved him. As for Chair I'm happy because I know Chuck won't die, Blair loses her baby (how boring would mom Blair be?), and she won't go through with the wedding most likely. The thing I am most happy about is Chivy. She finally got what she deserved and it is honestly time for her to leave, well actually way past time for her to leave. No one cares about her and no one ever will. Making her a permanent character on the show was the biggest mistake of the season. She's annoying and wastes screen time. I think that she's finally leaving which is great, or maybe she will leave in a few episodes. I don't think we will be seeing her next season. Overall it was a great episode with exciting twists (Diana/Jack!?). My hopes for the rest of the season: Derena, Chair, Chivy leaves for good, Louis leaves for good, Trip leaves forEVER, Nate keeps his job and has a story line, and we see the real Charlie Rhodes.
I'm so sick of Louis. He should've left weeks ago. I don't even feel remotely excited for the wedding episode because I know that it's not going to happen, which is a good thing, but still.... this season has zero suspense. Oh and on the subject of annoying characters, can Charlie be killed in the car crash or something? Anything just to make her go away and stop wasting screen time.
Yay more chair! Honestly I am sick of Dan. He is just so whiney all the time, he's annoying to watch. plus his hair is killing me. And thank god she will lose the baby which is most likely Louis'. How boring would it be to watch B take care of a kid for the rest of the show. It would seriously limit her opportunities. When is derena going to happen again? We've been waiting since season 2! And as for Nate, I hope he grows his bangs out again, they were hot. Oh and I hope that I never have to see Trip's annoying face ever again.
I expected a little more from Blair's wedding look. Her dress is nice, but kind of boring, which is not Blair at all. Plus her hair is so, not Blair. I bet it's a dream.
Okay so everything about this episode was completely boring and uninteresting except for the Chair scenes, and possibly the Dan scenes. Even Dan and his horrible hair are starting to bother me. Why can't he just get a haircut???!?!? I guess Diana just got more interesting, and I can deal with her, but Charlie? Why couldn't she just leave this episode like she tried to. Her sl's are so boring, and I feel like the writers just forced her character onto us. No one cares about her and no one wants her to waste precious screen time. Safran said that this season was supposed to be more like season 1, well I don't see that happening. Bring back Derena and Chair, and make Nate gay because he has no good chemistry with anyone.
Meh.... Dair is over for me. But yet again anything would be better than Blair and Louis. So if he gets Louis out of her life then I would be okay with that. A part of me still is hoping for Derena though!
A chair scene, finally! I've been waiting all season. After the chair scene i realized a few things: Dan and Blair will never truly work out because they're just not as perfect together, Louis is boring and manipulative and annoying with that so not french accent, and that if the baby is Louis's then she needs to lose it. I really don't want to see Blair as a mother so early. I feel like if she has a baby then her possiblites for future storylines will end. She'll be stuck with Louis forever, and I'm pretty sure that no one wants that.
As for Dan and Serena I really hope that they get together soon. I've been waiting since season two for them to grow up and come together again, and I feel like it's about time. Serena has never loved any guy more than Dan throughout the show and he has really never loved any other girl as much. I think Blair was a phase, and while it was fun to watch at first I knew that it wasn't going to last.
As for Nate and Charlie all I have to say is go Diana! Anything that keeps Charlie away from Nate is good for me. I think she's boring, useless, and a waste of precious screen time. Plus her voice bothers me so much. Hopefully she leaves sometime in the near future.
Yay for Derena! Who cares if they are siblings, it's a TV show. From the beginning I've wanted Chair and Derena. As for Nate he should actually end up with nobody. It would definately be more realistic that way. He can't settle down for any one girl so I don't think he ever will. If you compare the way he has "loved" girls to the way Chuck loves Blair it's totally different. Nate has never loved anyone but himself.
This episode was fantastic! I actually think it was the best episode of the season so far. Everyone was somewhat interesting, even Charlie. I think that know that Nate has her phone his and her story lines just became more interesting. I can't wait to see what happens when Dan's story hits the shelves. I'm happy he finally got the guts to let it be published. I think that the father is Chuck or Dan. The way she looked at the envelope immediately insinuated that it wasn't his. Well, as long as it gets Louis out of the way I'll be happy. Overall it was suspenseful and interesting from beginning to end: 9.5/10!
I agree with everyone who said that Ivy needs to leave, now. She took up a good chunk of the episode that could be devoted to other, more important (and interesting) characters. If they needed an extra person why not make Georgina a regular? She was ten million times for entertaining. Ivy is just boring and she's a horrible actress. I really hope that the producers see how much we hate her and get rid of her ASAP.
Great episode in general. I still don't think it was as dramatic and surprising as a season premiere should be (remember the season 2 premiere?), but nonetheless it was very good. Blair's pregnancy wasn't that shocking only because it was kind of obvious, since it was in her trash can. I can't wait to find out who the father is and part of me wants it to be Dan just so I can watch Blair freak out :) I just hope that she won't keep the baby in the end because that would sort of ruin the possibilities with her character. Maybe a miscarriage or something like that. Either way, as long as Louis and his horrible (getting even worse) accent can leave ASAP I'll be happy.
As for the california scenes: they were pretty good and had some funny moments. I like that Serena is FINALLY growing up, let's just see how long that will last. Nate was kind of boring, and what is up with his hair? Bring back the full on man bangs! Speaking of hair, what is that creature growing on Dan's head. I tried to feel sorry for him when Blair was yelling at him, but I couldn't stop laughing at his hair. I am sooooo happy that Chuck found some other way than getting drunk and high to deal with his sorrow, because that was getting old. This new Chuck is refreshing to watch.
Overall I would give the episode a 4/5.
She really is a great singer so I am happy for her. I can't wait for more Pretty Reckless songs! I amm sad that she is quitting Gossip Girl since she was such a central character in the past. I really hope for the finale of the show she just shows up for a little bit, maybe to Dan's wedding?
Chuck and Blair for sure! Then Dan and Serena, and Nate and uh.... Vanessa I guess. I watched Seasons one and two again this past summer and I realized how wonderful Derena was!
I don't know. I really liked the Dair dynamic and if he can kick Louis out of the picture then I am all for Dair. I still don't think they should be endgame.
