I'm only about 1/2 way through, but do Dan and Blair interactions get less stiff as this goes on? Just curious. I'm a bit indifferent to what happens romantically at this point. But, Dan seems really bored.
Hate to say it...but at this point I'm fairly doubtful of all spoilers. Do I need to remind all of you about the season finale, when SS assured us that the preview was meant to be as inflammatory as possible, when it turned out to be totally true?
Just a quick thought re: Paris. Just because Ed W was filming there, doesn't necessarily mean that Chuck is actually going to be there. Something about the tone of "friend from home mysteriously appears" makes me think the whole thing is a big odd. I'm a bit suspicious of GG announcements at the moment, and it just seems unlikely that five seconds after being shot Chuck's going to rock up to Paris, overlooking probably the biggest drama that GG's had. And that means that Blair and Serena didn't come back from their time abroad to visit Chuck in hospital (assuming, hoping that he's alive).
I don't think C/B will reconcile in Paris; I think Blair will either be imagining what it would have been like to have him there OR having some strange ESP type moment, sensing that something's wrong back home by seeing Chuck in crowds or something.
Anyway, it's a moot point as I'm unconvinced I'm going to keep watching...
After the last few episodes I thought I was sort of over GG - in the sense that I had enough critical distance not to be bothered by it. But, then I sat down to write a new chapter of "Lightness and Weight" (my fanfiction) and realized I couldn't think of anything positive to say about Chuck and Blair. So I just decided to go to bed - and then found that it was actually making me toss and turn - not in a good "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT" way, but in a..."Wow. Didn't think it would come to this" kind of way.
So, wait...(I haven't seen the episode yet, being in Australia)...Didn't SS say that the UK promo was misleading - something about being cut in a way to make things seem more salacious than they were? It seems as if things were just as bad as that promo indicated. GG really is annoying me at the moment.
I apologise in advance for how not eloquent this is, but omg, Chuck was SUCH a douche at the end of the episode. Way to learn something from this experience, genius.

I feel kind of sorry for Jessica Szohr. She's playing the least popular character on the show, and as a result everyone is rooting for her personal life to crash and burn. Look how cute she looks in that photo - as if she can barely believe that Ed Westwick is holding her hand. Wouldn't we all feel the same way? Also, perhaps they've broken up - but it seems that 90% of what's in gossip mags usually turns out to be BS just churned out based on nameless sources and speculation.
Wow - you guys absolutely hit the nail on the head. I have been trying to figure out what is off about the Chuck/Blair interaction (I am a die-hard fan of them). And it is Chuck! He needs to get out of Boring Businessman Mode and into incredibly possessive, jealous and immature mode. Because at the moment Blair is always the immature one and he seems too old in his outlook for her. That was the appeal of them together, wasn't it? Their insane intensity together.
It would be nice if the writers read this thread...
