@Robin - See the promo for the next episode....Luke and Malina meet up :-)
Nice round up, Henry :-)
There's one thing I can't fathom, why show the epic faceoff in the 8th episode, and set it up for what I felt was near the series finale, to actually amount to nothing if Jon Snow is dead.
Feels like such a hurried review.... :-( Don't you find it fascinating how Game of Thrones set this up? Making Stannis look like a good father a couple of episodes back, and now his thirst for power and fanatic religiousness is here for all to see? Its like no one is good. When Stannis was burning random people we didn't care so much, but now we do? When Drogon burned a child, Dany punished him, but now we are all in awe of that scene. Really fascinated by what the writers and Mr. Matrin have been cooking for us. Is there a backstory to even the night walkers? Is no-one really all good or all evil?
When do we get to see the trailer for Season 2? Is that just me or is everyone thinking that? Kickass episode....
Just in case, I wasn't explicit enough, the review nailed it! Go tough when it warrants it! Have you passed the link to your review to actual Arrow writers, and some people higher up in general? I really need you to, Arrow really needs you to! For all our sakes!
I am an Olicity shipper....But this was ridiculous! I used to love Felicity when she was quirky, and a nice friend....Quips like "I'm dating Barry inside Oliver's body", and I loved her as a part of the arrow cast, because I always felt the need of wanting more. I think her relationship with Palmer was great, much better than I expected, they made a great couple. And I think Oliver and Felicity could have as well, but no I did not want it at the cost of the season or any storyline. By the end of this season, I'm not even sure I'm an Olicity shipper! I did not ask them to make such amateur storylines, actually that's a bit too lenient, because even as an amatuer I think I could have come up with a more sensible storyline. Initially I always had doubts on Oliver and Laurel...Because their storyline was completely messed up. They dated, he cheated on her with her sister, then had this picture of Laurel which he said gave him strength, then got back together with her on the island, and then got back together with both sister for short periods after he was back in Sterling City. Can you see how fucked up that is? Typing it out made me go nauseous, as if I was writing the most stupid rom-com ever. So I supported Oliver with Felicity, a quirky nerdy adorable girl, but I repeat, never at the cost of the season. Do not blame Olicity shippers, blame the writers for doing a terrible job!
Having watched Arrow from Day 1, I have always felt the first two seasons were brilliant. This season was hopeless, and for countless reasons a) Killing Sara Lance. Laurel can't do her justice at all. I just loved her characterb) Malcom Meryln. You overstayed your welcome, you're a great actor, but were given a terrible script. I hate it when things stop making sense, and ridiculous deals become a regularity. The entire thing with Speedy, and Oliver was completely fucked up....It was like the writers were asking you to leave your brains while watching the show :-(c) I'm a Oliver-Felicity shipper, but no I didn't want it at the cost of the season. It became far too cheesy and silly, instead of being cute and lovely.d) Captain Lance - His love and hate relationship with Oliver, I'm beyond caring now.e) The flashbacks - Your point was ridiculous. I should have skipped past all of itf) Ra - I initially liked you, and you seemed to be fair. But oh my god, didn't you just became an ass in the last 5 or 6 episodes. Ridiculous character development. What worked btw a) Ray Palmer - It was hard not to like him, unexpectedly well done, right from Day 1.b) Struggling here, already - Funny quips throughout the season perhapsc) I did like the mid-season finale, where Oliver has a sword stuck inside him. Everything went downhill hence Because we ended up watching Flash before we did the Arrow, it's hard not to realize how much better The Flash was. Humor, action, storylines.......Initially when the Flash came out, I was worried, what will they do with just his speed. Won't it become boring down the line, but really well done guys. The Arrow - I'm just glad the season is over. Is my time with the show as well? Depends on Season 4 premiere and the storylines they set in motion, I guess.
I barely caught a word in that trailer!
I thought it was just 6 episodes! Feck!
