The scorpion was also played by Tatiana Maslany ;-)
You missed a vital detail: After Matt beat Stick in his apartment, he found the bracelet in the debris on the floor, so Stick had actually not destroyed the bracelet, but kept it all those years. So maybe Stick is not such a "dick" after all...
Normally, I couldn't care less about russian mobsters, since they are usually depicted very two-dimensional. However, the show did a great job, and neither Anatoly nor Vladimir deserved this level of punishment. Talk about humanizing the bad guys...
The title of the episode should have been Cut Woman ;-) Inspired casting getting Rosario Dawson to do television, and Toby Leonard Moore is just killing it as Wesley. Back in the 80's I made a list of my dreamcast for a Daredevil movie, but the names on the list are either too old, dead or forgotten. Except one: I wanted Scott Glenn to play Stick...
Seeing Zeljko Ivanek's hairpiece made me think, that maybe the hair and make-up department can't do aging convincingly and decided to skip it ;-) hehe The interest and investment in Senator Royce's survival project could mean that the Army of the 12 Monkeys plan to ride out the plague in a shelter somewhere, and is still around somewhere in 2043. Maybe they also have a time machine, because Olivia seems to be popping up everywhere (and when) just like Cole...
I think it was rather simple: Cole arrived days after the event and was briefed by Aaron and Cassie. This information made Cole go back and change the outcome. Which meant that clueless Cole would still arrive days later, and they still had to brief him, because without the information, he wouldn't go back and everybody dies. Classic Bill & Ted loop ;-) However, even though Aaron and Cassie agreed to stick to the "script", Cassie couldn't help but sneak in a sad 'Goodbye', which means Cole is warned about his death and he will get out in time. So Cole will be back next week with a burning desire to visit 1987 ;-)
Awesome episode. Awesome that Cole killed daddy and got her name right ;-)
It is always a danger with this type of timetravel that wriiters get excited to play with 'the perfect loop'. However, the writing on the show is so good, that I am convinced we are in good hands ;-)
I agree with you on Deacon, but I'm talking about the sacrificed. If I had survived this long after a global plague, survival would be the most important. I wouldn't drive a car filled with explosives into a door or run out in front of someone shooting at me without taking cover ;-)
Looking forward to 12 Coles going up against the 12 monkeys ;-) hehe The hallucinations were beautiful, almost kaleidoscopic. However, something didn't sit well with me. With all the talk about survival and being so few, there's no way they would sacrifice 10-15 guys on a distraction. Imagine Deacon saying, "You guys go up to the front door and die horribly!". There is no reason why they all couldn't just sneak in through the tunnels.
